It's just a bit "Meh" We travelled as a family of 5. Two adults and 3 kids. We were alerted before arrival that there's two double beds in the room, and if you need another bed there's an additional charge of $20 PER NIGHT! We took the additional bed on the first night because we arrived late and everyone was tired. If you like hospital beds in emergency rooms whilst you go through triage then you're in for a treat! The average price of a room for two double beds is advertised at $69 per night. So for the four people in real beds, they pay approx $17.50 for an actual bed. Where the $20 price for a war zone stretcher comes from is mind boggling. Top traveller tip if you're a five. Go to Walmart and buy a blow up bed for $30, by night 2 you're quids in and making money for the rest of your stay. Don't expect beds to be made though, I think this happened 3 times max within the 2 weeks we stayed, and two of those were after we asked reception. Bins were emptied every day and towels were changed, but generally that was it. The bar wasn't open at any stage whilst we were there, there's no restaurant as the photos suggest, and the games room and gym were outdated at best. Some security guys were a lot of fun too. One tried to revoke our pool access for the rest of our stay because we opened a poolside gate to let a family member and a friend in. Supposedly this was an emergency exit gate. There is zero signage to alert that it's an emergency exit and people had been using it on the daily for the two weeks were there, but not on boss mans watch! Wise up! The pool and grounds were well kept to be fair so well done to the guys who do those jobs. They've recently introduced a $10 dollar per night parking charge also apparently. We booked before this attempted robbery legislation was signed off so got off on a technicality. We used the hotel as a base to explore Orlando and surrounding areas, for the pool a bit during the day and a place to sleep at night. Don't expect much more than that. The place feels like it's being allowed to be run down and trying to milk as much out of the old cow as possible before she ends up in a steakhouse.

"Good value, Great Location - could do with some modernisation 👍"

After reading the mixed reviews for this hotel I was pleasantly surprised. The location is excellent on I-Drive. Easily walkable to Universal Studios. The shuttle buses in the morning were great. Never used them in the evenings to come back as we generally used Uber/Lyft. The pool area is very clean and well kept. Free towels to use are a bonus. The shop is well stocked but perhaps a little bit more expensive than other places but I suppose you are paying for the convenience. We had the breakfast buffet once in the hotel with a 20% discount it came to about $50 for 4 of us which was fine, the food was nice and there was plenty of choice, Our room was adequate for what we needed. Beds were perhaps a little smaller than other places we've stayed but not a major issue. The room decor is dated and the whole hotel needs a bit of a refresh (lick of paint, carpets changed and some new, modern furniture) but it didn't bother us as we were only sleeping there. We had fresh towels every day and bins were emptied. The room was turned down every third day as promised. Hotel felt safe, regular security patrols. It's a shame that the bar is not open at the moment. All the staff were really helpful and friendly, especially Florence who was working in the shop 👍

"2025 annual holiday, a few surprises for us"
TripAdvisor user rating 2.0 out of 5
Reviewed October 21, 2025 NEW
We always look forward to our annual holiday here as we have been coming since 2013 (excepting covid). We always have a very good time, this is a good base to holiday from. This year was slightly different. We heard online that there were a few changes and thought ok, everyone has changes now and then. Upon check in I asked about these changes and was told yes they are in effect (if I hadn't asked I would not have been told I feel). The changes mainly involve house keeping. In the past we had fresh towels, bins emptied and beds made each day. It was ideal and gave a lovely atmosphere to return to our rooms after a busy day out. Now, beds are only made every 3 or 4 days, although we are supposed to have bins and towels done daily. Now we had to go and ask for fresh towels 3 times, yes, 3 times the bin was not emptied at least twice, and the sheets changed 1 time in a 3 week stay, not good. There was a noticeable reduction in the housekeeping staff (who were always lovely and did an excellent job each day), so it appears that cuts have started being made. In addition, the bar has been closed and the restaurant attached also closed as well. We have heard since this is for refurbishment and wait to see what they do here. We also had a leak in the bathroom which left a puddle on the floor each morning this was reported and the maintenance guy duly turned up, looked, said he would return following day never saw him again. And the leak continued. Parking charges have been introduced ($10 a day but capped at a max of $50, which is good) but that does not affect us as we do not use a car when here, but its still cheaper than parking at Endless Summer etc. The room in itself was its usual standard (good) and the hotels location puts us within walking distance of Universal (minus Epic) and being on I-Drive is very convenient for shops, restaurants, buses, I-trolley etc. We had a lovely view over the pool and were very please with the rooms high floor location (perfect for us) We will be returning here as we always have a good time, but we will be keeping an eye on the changes to see what happens going forwards. We would still recommend this hotel, but be aware of changes occurring.

"Great location & price but it’s getting tired & needs a refurbishment."

So this is the 3rd time I’ve stayed here in a 4 year span, the location you can’t beat it’s so close to Universal Studios that you can walk, take the complementary bus or a cheap uber. The staff are all very nice, polite and helpful, even the security at the gate are always smiling. The rooms need an upgrade, we had two beds one was rock hard the other was collapsed on one side, the furniture is old and the carpets are not nice. The room wasn’t vacuumed for the two weeks we were there, there was some hair that was not ours on the floor, beds were made once in our whole stay, we did get fresh towels as and when we needed. The bathroom was as clean so no complaints there. You get what you pay for, the price is cheap for the area you’re staying. Like I say I have stayed here multiple times, over the year but I think the place needs a good renovation.

This is my second year staying at the Rosen Inn and it didn’t disappoint. I felt a really warm welcome on arrival and the lady on reception knew I was a repeat guest. She managed to allocate me a room on the 8th floor which was ideal for us. The price point of this hotel is excellent and the do offer a shuttle bus to universal but we just grabbed Ubers for $5 as it’s cheaper than parking there it’s so close. The rooms are very spacious and clean and there is a fridge for you to use and a safe. There’s a handy shop to get some bits for your room. The pool is quite small but ideal for a quick dip after a busy day at the parks be warned though it’s pretty deep one end! I will definitely be back you can’t beat the friendly helpful team at the Rosen
