A seasonal outdoor pool is open Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend. River Place Inn offers a complimentary "Grab & Go" breakfast including all prepackaged items such as muffins, cereals, yogurt, granola bars, juices, milk, coffee, and tea.

This Smoky Mountains area hotel is located on River Road, less than half a mile to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Cade's Cove is approximately two miles away and Ober Gatlinburg is within walking distance (0.1 mile). With a convenient location, the hotel is within easy walking distance to Gatlinburg Convention Center, Ober Gatlinburg Aerial Tramway, fabulous restaurants, Sky Lift Park and Ripley's Aquarium.

Parking: River Edge Inn offers free self-parking, one complimentary space per room. Additional vehicles will need to find alternative parking.

Pet Policy: Up to two small dogs, under 50lbs each, are accepted and allowed in each room. A $40 nightly fee per dog is applied at the hotel upon arrival. We stayed at the River Edge Inn for one night during our two-week road trip. Pros: Easy, Quick Check-In: From the moment we arrived, the check-in process was a breeze. Complimentary Parking: This was a huge plus! Gorgeous Setting: The hotel is beautifully located, just near the river, with lovely views. It felt so peaceful, and the atmosphere was perfect for winding down after a day of travel. Close to Main Street: The location couldn't be better ,just a short walk to the Main Street where all the action is. We were able to easily explore the local shops, restaurants, and attractions. Big, Comfortable Room with Balcony: Our room was spacious and well-appointed, with a lovely balcony.It was cozy, clean, and the bed was super comfortable, and everything was spotless. Cons: Grab-and-Go Breakfast: While the breakfast was a nice touch, it was more of a grab-and-go style, which was a bit disappointing. We would have preferred a sit-down breakfast, though we understand this could be due to space limitations or other factors. This was one of the best hotels we stayed in during our two-week road trip. The combination of a fantastic location, great amenities, and a beautiful setting made for a memorable stay. We would definitely recommend River Edge Inn to anyone passing through Gatlinburg!

The only reason I have not given a five is because the patio furniture needed to be repaired. Hole in the seat, making it uncomfortable to sit. Hand rails outside of room 314 need replacement. Other than that, I was very pleased with my room. The bed was awesome, and the room overall was great. I will return.

We really enjoyed our stay. Very nice room with plenty of room and a small balcony. Continental breakfast was nice. The downtown area is very close and walkable. It was great that we were able to leave our car at the Inn until we left. Will definitely look to return.
