"Awful value for the money"

I pre-purchased a points pass in advance of traveling. My family lives a 3 hour car ride away. I staregically purchased a total of 36 points which costs $96.00. I checked the ride operation scheduled closure maintenance in advance to be sure I purchased the necessary amount of points to cover the 3 rides we each wanted to do. Sandy's blasting broncos was one we wanted to ride and was set to be closed per the website until October 10th. We were going to be there on October 12th when it was to be reopened already. When we arrived, the ride was closed due to scheduled maintenance even though it was supposed to be open again on that day. The biggest disappointment was that one of the other rides we were specifically going for was the shellraiser. Nowhere on the website did it specify that this particular ride was not compatable with point passes and that in order to ride, it requires you to purchase an all access daily pass. So not only could we not use our points for Sandy's blasting broncos due to the closer date changing without notice, but the shellraiser wouldn't work with our points either. We ended up having to purchase the all access pass which was an additional $79.00 per person on top of the $96.00 I pre spent for a points pass in which I didn't even get to use! Very disappointing to have planned our weekend trip and drove as far as we did only to have to spend even more money, especially for a policy that was absolutely unclear via the website about certain rides that you cannot redeem with the points pass. Now we are stuck with $96.00 worth of points that of course are non-refundable and even though they do not expire, it doesn't matter because we won't be able to use them for the one main ride we made the trip for, the shellraiser. The only way one can ride this coaster is to purchase the all day pass. I feel as if they need to revisit this policy as it forces people to spend a ridiculous amount of money especially for people who literally might want to visit for the sole purpose of just riding the shellraiser. Would be great if they allowed the shellraiser to be valid using the points pass redemption. Of even just a small upcharge even, but to charge a whole days all access pass to be able to ride it is just a plain scam and a ploy to cheat people out of an exorbinent amount of money. If they aren't willing to reconsider this policy, they need to at least make it 100% crystal clear of this on their website so people can be well informed in advance! I know for me personally, if I had known this when I was planning my trip, I definitely would not have pre purchased an expensive points pass and would have just spent the money on the all access daily pass. Needless to say, between an unexpected ride closure and being forced to pay more money as a result of being misinformed in advance, I unfortunately wouldn't recommend this park to others.

"For the autism parents"

PLEASE consider having a “sensory friendly” day that is geared towards children with disabilities. I can assure you that there are many parents who want their children to experience having fun at your establishment, but don’t bring them because it can be overstimulating for our neurodivergent kiddos on a typical day (crowded, loud noise, etc). Autism is a very prevalent diagnosis these days so I just wish there were certain things put in place, such as the ability to purchase a ticket that stands out from others so that the ride operators can more clearly be aware that they’re about to deal with a child that has a disability when scanning them on to a ride, or fast pass access on the smaller rides for children with disabilities who don’t have enough patience to wait on a long line. Please consider these ideas!! I would gladly pay an extra fee to make sure that my child could have a better experience because I want them to have fun just like any other atypical kid.

"All-Day Pass Refund Policy"
TripAdvisor user rating 1 out of 5
Reviewed October 03, 2025 NEW
I'm writing to express my extreme disappointment with your ticket policy and how it was enforced. I recently purchased an unused ticket from a family celebrating their child's birthday. One of their child's friends couldn't make it, and the family was denied a refund for that single ticket. To my shock and frustration, after I bought the unused ticket, you not only canceled my ticket but also canceled all 13 of the original tickets the family had purchased for the birthday celebration. Your policy's consequence is not only unreasonable but also outrageous. The family lost money on their entire group's birthday outing because of a single, unrefundable ticket. This is an absolutely ridiculous way to treat customers. I will not be returning to your establishment, and I now fully understand why your business has so many poor reviews.

"0 customer service and bad attitude"

We are still on site as I typed. I am extremely disappointed by customer service. I brought my kids here today and purchased point pass (18 points) and after 2 rides for 2 kids (12 points), all my points were gone. It’s only 6 points, no biggie, what’s really made me mad was the fact there is no one that can help. The operator sent me upstairs, upstairs cashier sent me downstairs. We waited downstairs an addition 20 minutes for a manager and no one show up. Never again, avoid at all cost.
