Overview

Experience thrills and adventure at Nickelodeon Universe, the biggest indoor theme park in the Western Hemisphere! Located at the American Dream, enjoy about 30 rides and attractions, and meet your favorite Nickelodeon characters. Whether visiting for The Shredder from Ninja Turtles or Nickelodeon Slime Streak, there’s something for the whole family.

Good To Know

Western hemisphere's largest indoor theme park, you can enjoy rain or shine!
Children ages two (2) and below can enjoy the park for free.
Riders ages 13 and under must be accompanied by a supervising companion ages 14 and up.
Enjoy about 30 rides and attractions inspired by your favorite shows. Subject to availability and maintenance closures.
Rides are split into three categories: thrills, family-friendly and just-for-tots. Rider restrictions such as age, height and weight apply.
Shirts and shoes are required inside the theme park. Please dress appropriately.
No loose items are allowed on the rides. Locker rentals available onsite.
No outside food or beverages allowed inside the parks.

Description

Every day is a great day at Nickelodeon Universe theme park, with more than 30 rides and attractions. Experience the world's steepest drop on the TMNT Shellraiser thrill ride or rev up and roll out on the Blaze’s Monster Truck Rally junior ride for an epic race in the Monster Dome!

Located inside American Dream Mall in East Rutherford, NJ (just four miles from New York City), this indoor theme park features a kaleidoscope of colors and the unmistakable charm of beloved Nickelodeon characters.

Nickelodeon Universe American Dream rides are themed around Nickelodeon shows and provide non-stop entertainment for all ages.

"Terrible"

Terrible experience as I felt discriminated as I could NOT go on all the rides that I paid for an all day admission pass for. The sad part is the ride had no line or wait and was still denied access.

Nothing was said about subscriptions on the rides. Was not able to ride any of the roller coasters . A lot of the other rides were closed down Yes.

We had a great time with our 4 and 6 year old kids. We went in a Monday and there were no lines or waits the kids could go on whatever they wanted. My only complaint is they were operating on a limited ride schedule for some rides for the younger kids and they would close for 30 minute at a time. My 4 year old wasn’t 42 inches and couldn’t ride some of the bigger rides so he didn’t have as many options. I will definitely go back with them

"Worst customer service I even experienced"

3 rides broke down after being on line waiting for several minutes, and the staff just told us it’s closed and told us to get off the lines. They have the nastiest people working inside the park, as someone who works in the customer service industry I was appalled at the lack of basic customer service the staff showed, we talked to at least 15 employees and there was not one person who smiled or was polite, every single one of them acted as if we were bothering them, even when we simply asked about restrooms.

"Fun experience"

I was in New York for the Christmas season and wanted something fun to do with my daugther. We went on a tuesday which was a slow day. so there was less crowd than on weekends. Wait time was 0 minutes. we enjoyed every ride she was able to ride. My only dislike was they had rides sharing operators so there were signs indicating this ride operates eery 30 minutes. Staff were friendly. Also there need to revision for the bands for toddlers.

Medical devices are permitted in Nickelodeon Universe. Please note, any loose article may not be brought onto a ride. In addition, medical devices may not interfere with the proper functioning of ride restraint devices.

Nickelodeon Universe was built to accommodate all patrons. Guests with disabilities should visit Guest Services inside the park for assistance and more information. Guest Services is at the bottom of the entry elevator to Nickelodeon Universe.

Are pets permitted in Nickelodeon Universe?

Pets are not permitted in Nickelodeon Universe. Service animals are welcome. Service animals are limited to dogs and miniature horses and must always remain on a leash or harness unless the leash or harness interferes with the service the animal is providing, or the handler is unable to use the leash or harness due to the nature of the disability. Guests must be in control of the service animal all times and are responsible for its behavior and clean-up.

What is Nickelodeon Universe’s policy on line jumping?

Nickelodeon Universe does not permit line jumping. Line jumping is defined as cutting in front of guests, saving spots for other guests, or leaving the line and attempting to enter the same spot. Line cutting can result in ejection from Nickelodeon Universe.

Does Nickelodeon Universe have a dress code?

Nickelodeon Universe is a family-oriented theme park and appropriate dress is always required. Shirts and shoes are required. Graphics and language on clothing must be appropriate. Bathing suits are not permitted.

Are cameras allowed in Nickelodeon Universe?

Guests may photograph or take video of their visit to Nickelodeon Universe for private use only. Picture taking while on all rides is not permitted due to safety precautions. Ride operators may not take pictures or hold cameras for guests. Selfie sticks are not permitted in Nickelodeon Universe.

Nickelodeon Universe prohibits smoking and vaping.

What articles can I bring with me on the rides?

No loose articles may be taken on any rides and should be left with a non-rider. All thrill rides have single-use lockers for personal belongings. Single-use locker’s rental fee is $10.

Session use lockers are available for rent next to Guest Services, located at the bottom of the entry escalators.
