excellent food entertainment even with dietary restrictions. It was very fun my 4 year old and my 9 yr old autistic child loved it

…Let me explain. I was reading Dave Grohl’s book, The Storyteller, and he described celebrating his 40th birthday at Medieval Times (spoiler: he loved it)…and I remembered I hadn’t yet written a review of my experience there! My stepson chose Medieval Times for his high school celebration dinner. What a great choice! This was a fun evening! You enter MT from a shopping mall. For some reason I thought it was outside but it’s indoors, thankfully, since we were in the midst of horrendous, dangerous summer heat. You check in and are assigned a “house” to cheer for, flags and other goodies depending on the package you purchase. Then you’re seated with others in your house and other houses you’re aligned with. Staff come out and quickly take your order. Special diets - like vegan or vegetarian- are easily accommodated. They have drinks, including special nonalcoholic drinks. The food was good, there was a lot of it and it was efficiently served and cleared during the show. The staff are wonderful. The seating is in rows . As a short person who has missed bits of movies or shows over the years because someone’s head blocked my view, I can attest that the view here is unobstructed. The show got started and was entertaining, with mock battles on horseback and chances to cheer on a knight from your house. I think waitstaff also do double duty by performing in the show as well. This is hectic and hard work- respect! There are animals appearing in this show. This caused me lots of angst beforehand as I have a bias against animals being used in entertainment. Too often they aren’t treated well and I do nt want to support that. The horses appeared to be healthy, clean, with gleaming coats. The actors seemed to be trained horsemen, too. The horses are majestic and beautiful. There was also a falcon in the show presented by what I assumed to be an experienced falconer. So the appearances seemed good. It would be beneficial for MT to post additional information about the humane treatment of their animals, including any humane certifications they have, cruelty free training and what is done with “retired” animals (are they sold for slaughter or send to live peacefully and cared for in a giant pasture somewhere?). I didn’t see anything concerning at the show, but I know I am not the only person who’d like some extra assurances the animals are treated well. After the show ended, you can purchase some fun souvenirs in the gift shop. My stepson had a souvenir goblet that gift shop staff offered to wrap up, which was nice. I bought a t shirt. They had lots of cool dragon sculptures and other fun gifts there. All in all, it was an enjoyable show, with good food, merriment, a well-executed, rollicking and energetic show. It’s a great way to celebrate a special event or just have a night out doing something different. I’d definitely go again!

The price is fair for a 2 hour show and dinner. Meal is filling and the drinks at the bar are great, more so the slushies. The show itself is a joy as you await for dinner. It does takes a moment for your meal to arrive, but when it does it delivers. The animals look well kept their coats full and shining and the performers keep things lively. The knights are wonderful showmen and athletes. The audiences gets to partake in the atmosphere with cheering on their own knight. Would always recommend if you are looking for an evening of fun and food.

I took my wife and daughter to see the show. I had low expectations, I’m somewhat jaded. For younger children, my daughter is 11, it was great. The food was good, served very efficiently, and the waiter (Cody) was great. The actors, what I expected. And, you could tell they enjoyed what they did, which spilled over to the crowd. It’s obvious not a Broadway or Vegas show, and, for the area, cost, etc, definitely worth checking out. My daughter was enthralled the entire show.
