Margaritaville Cottages Orlando by Rentyl with H2O Waterpark

Our waitress was Judy Brewer and she made sure we had everything we needed. The food and atmosphere was definitely on point!

I can not speak highly enough or appreciate more the extreme hospitality and assistance from Alanys! Amex had greatly dropped the ball and she delightfully made everything OK! She is a true asset to your property and establishment!

We had an incredible stay at the Sunshine Cottage at Margaritaville Cottages, 8024 Dreamsicle Drive. The location was perfect, less than a 10-minute walk to the main resort area, including the pool and hotel, yet it still felt very private and quiet. The cottage itself was spacious, with plenty of room for everyone. Everything was exactly as advertised, from the bedrooms and bathrooms to the fully equipped kitchen. A fun highlight for us was the Margaritaville music station, which we ended up using daily and really added to the overall experience. We also took advantage of the nearly 2-mile walking path around the resort on several days, which was a great bonus and a nice way to explore the area. Check-in at the lobby was quick and easy, and the host was very responsive and helpful whenever we had questions. Both check-in and check-out were smooth and hassle-free. Overall, we couldn’t have asked for a better stay and would definitely come back!

I would like to give a personal shout out to Alanys she was so great in helping us check in once our 3rd party booking was not found. Very patient and kind to help us find another option on the very full property. Thank you!

What didnt go wrong while I was in the cottages. 1) upon check in at the Grand Lodge there were no instructions provided regarding basic things like internet password and where to find it in the cottage 2) there were no instructions in the cottage for TV remotes and there were not enough TV remotes in the cottage to operate the TVs. Each TV required two remotes and two of the three TVs had one remote for the LG TV, so I had to request Spectrum remotes. 3) There was no broom or dust pan in the cottage and one had to be delivered 4) there were no frying pans in the cottage and I had to cook hamburgers in a 5 quart pot 5) there were no plastic food storage containers in the cottage and those had to be delivered 6) there were only 7 tall tea glasses in the cottage and 4 small short glasses in a 3 bedroom cottage. We only had enough glasses to get us through one meal before we had to wash. I had to ask for more glasses to be delivered 7) there were only 7 dinner plates in the cottage as well and this got us through one meal with six people in the cottage 8) the same is true with eating utensils and what they brought to the cottage was big enough to be used as serving utensils 9) for cooking there is one spatula in the cottage along with one large slotted spoon and one that isn't slotted, this is ridiculous and this kitchen is not equipped properly for use, much less for 6 people 10) there was one 9x13 pyrex dish in the cottage and there needs to be an 8x8 11) there are no dish clothes in the cottage, only one small sponge which was used to wash dishes. This meant I had to use paper towels to wipe down countertops at night 12) there was no cleaning product to clean the countertops or over top after each meal 13) the floors in the home were dirty from the first day we arrived. Our feet were black on the bottom from walking around on the kitchen floor 14) the washing machine sounded like it was going to blow up. The maintenance guy on day 2 said the drum was out of balance. On Day 4 it was repaired but still was loud. 15) No instructions on what to do with the garbage when it needed to be removed so I had to text to ask where to place it and this should have been in a book inside the house to tell me what to do with it 16) blind slates and the rod to open and close blinds are broken in the doors 17) the home clearly was not stayed in recently and if so it needs a checklist before guests check in to ensure it is outfitted properly 18) people two doors down in 8019 were outside at 11:30PM with 2 and 3 year old kids running and squealing by the pool and the adults were talking loud. I asked them to keep it down and they said they would but did not. I texted the front desk who said they would ask them to be quiet. I saw nothing in the cottage that spoke to when quiet hours are enforced 19) I asked at the front desk in the Grand Lobby how much resort credit I had left and was told I had used $128 out of $300 but when I texted and asked I was told I had none remaining. Which is it? 20) I was not given correct info by Grand Lobby staff at the main check in desk on how to access H2O water park and had to wait in line at the park for them to figure out if I had free entry or not since I didnt have a QR code that would have been given to me in the Grand Lobby by staff there 21) there are not enough bath towels in the home for 6 people without constantly washing after every swim or bath 22) the TV in one of the bedrooms had every program in Spanish and I tried to change the settings in the remote with no luck; maintenance had to reset the cable box and the TV to get it back to English. This home clearly either had not had anyone stay in it for some time or the staff cleaning it did not do a good job checking to ensure the rental was ready to receive guests. I am super disappointed in this stay after I spent over $3,000 to stay here. I did receive a refund of $886 but this pails in comparison to the daily ask for things from the resort. Also, when I mentioned I had no frying pans, the one they provided which is ridiculous had a dent in the side of it. Why could you not provide 3 frying pans? For the cost to stay here I would have thought I was at a Motel 6, and the staff dont do a good job of trying to get ahead of issues, such as bring 3 frying pans if a guest asks for 1, especially when they say they have zero to begin with. Two days to get a dryer repair done is ridiculous. As a travel advisor I stayed here to be with my family but I also stayed here to try this out for my clients who may want to stay here. I could not begin to recommend this to anyone after the disaster I experienced here. I will say the pool and hot tub in the back yard were nice and having them heated was nice too, and having free access to H2O was nice. Aside from that, you have a lot of corrections that need to be addressed in order to provide a solid experience for future guests. This could have been an amazing stay with just a little attention paid to this house before I checked in. I am forever tainted when it comes to this resort and any other Margaritaville resort.
