Let the buyer beware. Check your daily charges carefully and ensure you are knowledge about what daily rate you are paying BEFORE you finalize your reservation. The daily rate for your stay will change, despite knowledge of your daily rate at time of booking the reservation. Ask about AAA discounts as reservations and reception desk will not ask and will not honor discounted rate after you book your reservation. The resort also adds a "food and beverage" tax to your daily rate. The daily food and beverage tax is charged despite every food purchase is otherwise charged a sales tax and even if no food is ordered at the resort. When questioned about this charge, there was no explanation and it was removed (likely because it is illegal to charge a sales tax twice or charge a tax on services which are never rendered) The resort also charges a 20% gratuity on EVERYTHING irrespective of the size of the party being served and/or the quality the services rendered. The 20% gratuity is also applied to all spa services, irrespective of your spa experience. This leaves all employees with no incentive to lend the highest level of customer service as they receive 20% irrespective of their quality of service and employees (even the management) unwilling to address any concerns which are raised. Of all potential resort options in Orlando, Margaritaville is not worth returning to.

Updated 3/29/26: Upon check in today we were told our cottage had a hot tub as requested and had a loft, but when we got inside the cottage, no hot tub and no loft. Called the front desk, and they now say there's nothing they can do, even though they just literally told us it had one. Very poor customer service. They didnt try to help us. So far terrible customer service. Ill update the overall stay when we leave and how Margarittaville handles our situation. 5 days ago; I can't rate the overall stay just yet as we aren't due to arrive until this coming Sunday (which i will update after our stay), however so far the registration / customer service has been wrong. We were specifically told something at registration 2 months ago that is different than what I was just told 2 days ago with regards to our cottage, and I am not happy since we were also considering a Disney Resort. Here we reserved a 3 bedroom cottage and multiple days of 12 person cabanas for our family. Ill update after our stay

Overall a great stay! My spouse and I spent six nights at Margaritaville Resort in Orlando. Here are the pros (many) and cons (few)... PROS: Clean Beautiful pool with plenty of seating (the majority of the seats are in the sand and you have to rush in am to "save" a seat on the pool deck) They give you two fresh pool towels per person per day Bar service at pool (2-3 bars open, depended on the day) and servers come around Nice bathrooms - clean, decent towels, and excellent water pressure Great pillows Very pleasant interactions with all employees Lots of activities offered 2 warm water bottles given daily (not sure why they don't put them in room fridge) CONS (mostly nitpicky): Not one hook for a robe, towel, or hat - just a few hangers in closet Bed is REALLY high up Bathroom lighting is not awesome and the only way to have a night light is to leave a big light on Pool music is LOUD (some days it was so loud, I couldn't even listen to my audiobook) Chill pool is lame - it's just an unheated pool (we thought it was going to be "chill," as in quiet, or adults only (not at all) They only start bar service at 11, but pool is open at 9. Some days they checked bags and would not allow you to bring anything in, even if it was purchased at the hotel store. Seems very "Big Brother" Shuttle does not go to Disney Springs Smell in lobby and hallway is very strong and chemical-y
