I'm going to break this down into the Pros and Cons of the stay. I'll start with the Pro: 1. The Price. If you are buying this, based on the fact that it's 15 minutes from Disney, the price is somewhere between 20-70% cheaper than anything you would get at Disney. I saw a studio for 4 for around $75.00 per night. 2. They have a service system like no other I've seen. They send you a text message and say, reply to this message if you need anything. They mean anything. Things broken. Need more towels. Need a trash pickup. Need to know where the ice machines are. They respond to the text in less than 10 minutes, and someone is up within an hour or two. 3. The location is 15 minutes away from the Magic Kingdom. Cons: 1. The Place is OLD and some of the furniture is worn out. It works, but it's scratched up sometimes. 2. First morning, there it was. A Roach. This has been reported by others, so I wasn't surprised. However, sent a text, and up came a Pest control guy (they were swarming on Monday throughout the resort - they know). 3. Had several things broken. Both toilets (we were in a 2-bedroom suite) ran on and off all day and night. Sent a text - 3 times. They cam every time but never fixed it. Washing machine didn't spin and remove water. They fixed it. TVs' said - no signal. Turns out you only get so many channels and if it's on one you don't get, you get that message. Refrig Ice maker didn't work. Couldn't fix that. They didn't have the parts. 4. Took for FREAKING EVER to get checked in. Not so sure why it was so complicated, but suspect it's because it's an RCI member and people didn't come preparted with they check in paper work. 5. Tables at the pool were not cleaned and often left dirty by guests (melted Ice cream, spilled drinks, etc.) 6. The bed had the WORST mattress I've every slept on. My back started to hurt on day 2, and by the end it was killing me. After getting back home it started spasming and had to go see a doc. Has taken a week to calm down. 7. In the master (1 bedroom suite), there is a very large hot tub type tub (no jets) and a shower head up on the wall. Odd standing up in an open tub to take a shower. 8. But here is the real kicker. The road in front of this place has got to be the BUSYIEST Road I've every seen. Traffic Mon-Fri is backed up down this road (I measured this myself) about 1 1/2 MILES Dead Stop. And you HAVE to make that left turn into this to get out in the morning.

"horrible experience with staff"
TripAdvisor user rating 1 out of 5
Reviewed August 07, 2025 NEW
Dear Legacy Resort Management, I am writing to formally express my deep disappointment regarding my recent stay at the resort — an experience that was, without question, the most unpleasant I’ve had in over 30 years as an owner. My family and I typically visit three times a year, and until now, we’ve always enjoyed our time here. Unfortunately, this visit was marred by unacceptable conditions, poor customer service, and unprofessional behavior from staff, particularly from the newly hired security team. To begin, we reserved two rooms for our stay. While my husband and I were placed in a relatively updated unit, which we appreciated, my grandchildren were assigned to a room that was entirely unacceptable. Their room was dirty, had visible roach activity, broken amenities, and subpar accommodations. When we brought this to the attention of the staff, we were told that changing rooms would likely result in an even worse option — a response that was both unhelpful and dismissive. The following day, we had an unfortunate encounter with security. I understand that pools must be closed during lightning storms, which we fully respect. However, the way in which we were removed from the fire pool was completely inappropriate. One entrance was locked, and we were forced to exit through an area with active sprinklers, soaking myself and my one-year-old grandchild. This was unnecessarily disruptive and showed a lack of basic courtesy and planning. Later that evening, we returned to the resort around 8:00 p.m. hoping to enjoy the pool. The weather had cleared, but all pool areas remained locked. When I contacted the front desk, I was told security would be notified — yet no one ever arrived. An hour later, I called again. I spoke with an employee named Isaiah, whose behavior was rude, dismissive, and completely unprofessional. He refused to provide any reason for the continued pool closure or give his manager’s name when asked. The situation escalated further later that night. At around 10:00 p.m., only the main pool was reopened. While we were using it, a security officer came by at 11:00 p.m. and told us — quite aggressively — that the pool was closed and that we needed to leave. When I politely asked if the fire pit could be turned on, she responded rudely and refused. When I asked for her name, she became hostile, used profanity, and referred to me in a highly inappropriate and offensive manner. She then locked the gate and demanded I exit through another route, which was nowhere near our room. This level of aggression, verbal abuse, and intimidation is absolutely unacceptable. The security officer wore no visible identification and refused to provide her name. Her conduct was completely unprofessional, and she appeared to be provoking a confrontation rather than diffusing a situation. As a long-time owner, I am shocked and disheartened by what this resort has become. If this is a reflection of new management or staff practices, I fear for the resort’s future. My family and I no longer feel comfortable or welcome here, and this experience has left us questioning whether we want to continue our ownership at Legacy Resort. Sincerely, Sarah Johnson Legacy Resort Owner – [30 years ⸻

Not the best trip. Roaches in kitchen. Our feet turned black walking on the floors. No wristbands so anyone can use facilities. Can’t fill up a tub of water and get hot. Light switch behind lamp at far end of the room for master fan. No one behind front desk for ten minutes when getting assistance with issues. People fighting and baby crying in parking lot outside our room late at night.
