I wouldn’t give it 1 star if I had the choice. We had travelled 2000 miles around California and this was our last stay. I’ve never left a bad review ever but this was awful. When we arrived we got told we hadn’t payed - we had- we got made to pay again until we could get hold of our travel agent. The man on reception was beyond rude. Our room was absolutely filthy. Someone’s toe nail clippings on the floor. Dirty furniture and bathroom and the floor made our feet black just from walking from one side to the other. Numerous trips to reception to complain. Tv didn’t work in our room. Lamp didn’t work. Dirty pots left on our landing for the 3 days stayed even though constantly asking for them to be moved. We paid bed and breakfast (twice) and we had the option of 2 eggs , that was it. When we went for breakfast we were asked for our “ticket” which we had no idea what that was. So back to reception I had to go - where I had to wait for a piece of paper to be printed out to take back upstairs to show the breakfast staff. So the food was cold after all this so we left that. After numerous complaints and tears I was offered one night refund. I asked to have this in an email as proof. This was not done. We had two days in Disney and the second day we had to leave at lunch time to go back to the hotel to continue going back and forth just to get the email confirmation. On the morning of leaving my husband went to get a coffee. I will leave the photo of what was in the bottom of his cup. We holiday 3/4 times a year and this was the worst hotel we have ever stayed in. It ruined the end of our stay. We wasted 3 Disney tickets with fast pass that our 5 year old was so excited for , just to sort out this mess. The refund has taken from may to August to receive- with numerous emails from myself and my travel agent.

"Maya What a Beautiful Waterfront View"

The staf was very helpful and professional. The rooms are not luxury but decent. Some of the furniture can use an upgrade. Overall, it was clean and had no odor. Our room had a balcony with a waterfront and the Queen Mary ship. The pricing is a little steep, but I understand it's due to the location. The lounge areas are inviting. They have 4 buildings, each with 5 floors. At night, they light up the beach with fire pits and tiki lights, cozy enough to enjoy the view. There's jet skis, bicycles, carts, and plenty of space to relax outside. It gives resort vibes. There's ample parking. There is a fee for parking. Free wifi & water bottle refills. There are busses for access to other dining and sightseeing.

"Not a clean smelling place"

Be careful what room you get. Ours was dark and dank and smelly. It seems like the rooms are hit and miss. The smell was of mildew. Also, everywhere we went in the hotel there was the smell of pot. I don’t like that smell so for me it ruined even the public places.

"Horrible customer service! Do not book here"

I booked this hotel for my wedding night. Staff was very rude the day of and unaccommodating. After months of preparation and multiple discussions of when I could check in the lady answering the phones was very rude to me and hung up on me multiple times. I am shocked and appalled at her attitude on such a momentous day of my life. It completely ruined my entire wedding day timeline and made me Miss moments I’ll never get back. Truly disappointed by the staff. Didn’t want to accommodate an early check in on our wedding day! Had to go to a salon to prep for my wedding. A disaster. Ruined our first look and timeline. I highly recommend they get better staff that are kind. Very bad experience for wedding and would NOT recommend any bride to come to your facilities. 0/10 they will ruin your wedding!! Go next door to the residence inn. Do not go to hotel Maya if you have a special occasion planned. They will do NOTHING for you. They wouldn’t even let us get on the shuttle to the venue! Horrible horrible customer service!!!!
