This is clearly an older hotel that has been updated in some areas. 1 bedroom suite was spacious and clean. Furnishings in the room looked newer. Lots of traffic noise outside throughout the night since it is on a busy road. The hotel was a solid choice for a night before heading into NYC. I would stay again for a night if in the area.

Wonderful stay! Huge rooms with comfy beds and extra blankets. It was nice having the bedroom separate from the rest of the unit. And I love the shower/tub/toilet separate from the sink/vanity area. While my kiddo showered I could still get ready without having to worry about sweating like crazy from the shower steam lol.. Plenty of bathroom necessities provided (shampoo, conditioner, body gel/soap, lotion, towels, hair dryer and waste baskets). Hot water came quickly and never ran out. The kitchen had all the basic cookware/dinnerware. Full size fridge, flat top stove and microwave furnished. The only thing missing, that would have been nice, was liquid dish soap. Instead, I cut open the dishwasher packet to wash the few dishes we did use. Which actually worked out better than expected. Great distant view of NYC from our room. As for the rest of the hotel.. The staff was friendly. Check-in / Check-out were quick and easy. The weight room and sauna were really nice. The indoor pool area is okay. Strong chlorine/bromine smell in the air (common for indoor water pools/parks). The bathroom by the pool needed some attention. There is a shower in the main pool area, with warm water, to rinse off (extra towels are provided for these areas). The included breakfast was just okay (I was surprised to see they only had waffles for 1 of the 2 days we were there. I always thought waffles were like a hotel breakfast staple). The muffins/bagels were a decent alternate. Plenty of places to sit. Overall the hotel was perfect for us. Nearby: A shopping center with a couple restaurants, a burger joint, a grocery, a dollar store and a liquor store (couple others as well). Also close to the bus stop (162/163) that takes you directly to the Port Authority terminal in Manhattan. The hotel will provide free shuttle service to the bus stop if you don't want to walk. No late night shuttle so we (2 women in our 20's/40's) walked from where the bus dropped us off. It was a short peaceful, quiet walk (maybe 5-7minutes). I definitely recommend staying here.

Stayed here recently for a business trip to NJ. My company has a location in Newark, so I am here often. I've been looking for an alternative hotel to where we have stayed in the past. This was a really good find. It's right next to a strip mall with several restaurants and stores. And a Krispy Kreme donut shop is also right next door. The hotel seemed very clean and the staff we interacted with were friendly. Room was clean. The only minor annoyance was the pool closes very early at 7:30. By the time I would get off work and get dinner, it was too late to enjoy the pool with my niece who was traveling with us. Will definitely stay here again. In fact, I already have a stay booked for October.

This was my first experience staying at a Hilton hotel, since I signed up for the Hilton Honors program. (I'm a gold member) I don't even know where to start, this was my worst experience in any hotel, in my lifetime. And I have stayed in many different hotels over the years. I would start with the lies, every staff member / manager I spoke to in this hotel, lied to me quite a few times. Whether it was about the room availability, floor availability, check out times, payment policy, policy about accepting gift cards, and on and on... Many areas in the hotel had a bad smell, like they were not cleaned for a while. The door to the bathroom wasn't even possible to lock, for some privacy. The whirlpool I paid so much for didn't work at all. I was told a few times that since I'm a gold member, I will get water and cookies in my room, which never happened. They were very rude and demanded that besides for incidentals the full stay had to be paid upfront, and even when I paid in full, they later called the cops at checkout, to say that I left without payment, only to receive hours later a zero balance invoice.

I booked the two-bedroom king bed suite for my party of 7 for two nights because it was close to the American Dream Mall. I was trying to find a place that was close by so travel back and forth would be easy enough. I feel like I booked blindly and I'm not gonna lie - I was nervous about the hotel being less than desirable. I was pleasantly surprised at how clean and friendly this place is! They offer a yummy complimentary breakfast each morning and they accommodated my son's nut allergy professionally and without hesitation. The second morning, the staff was ready with my son's breakfast straight from the kitchen, free of cross contamination. There is shopping and a Panera Bread right next door for your convenience. I highly recommend this hotel if you want to stay overnight for a game at MetLife Stadium or for a trip to the Amercian Dream Mall. Seven of us stayed comfortably in the two-bedroom suite (2 in one room, 2 in the other, 2 on the pull-out couch bed and 1 on an air mattress that we brough along).
