Hilton Vacation Club Mystic Dunes Orlando in Orlando, FL

I read lots of reviews of Mystic Dunes. The Dunes seemed to get good reviews IF you get a renovated room. I called a week ahead of time to request a renovated room. When we arrived to check in we were told we had to wait for our room. We had arrived early -3:15- and check in is at 4:00 so that made sense. At 4:00 I went back up and was told the same thing - the room isn’t ready, wait for a text telling you that it is. I told the check in clerks each time that we wanted a renovated room. They said they didn’t know what room number we were in yet (shouldn’t they have known our room # at that point??). At 4:30 we asked an employee who walked by for help. She went to the front desk and got keys for us and had us do the check in process with another employee. I asked her if the room was renovated and she said no - that we would have to talk to the manager for one. The manager came over 5 minutes later. He (Brian B) said they didn’t have any available renovated rooms for our reservation. He had no customer service skills. He had no empathy. He didn’t listen well and just kept repeating his talking points. When we asked if we could do a renovated 2 bedroom + a 1 bedroom (instead of the 3 bedroom we reserved), he said we could either stay in the un-renovated room or he could refund us and we could try to rebook on our own. We decided to look at the un-renovated room and we knew immediately that we wouldn’t stay there. It was old and tired looking and smelled of smoke. We asked for a refund and got a reservation somewhere else. It was a VERY frustrating process with Mystic Dunes. We wasted 1/2 day trying to get a room there and then having to find another somewhere else. They need to work on their communication and managerial skills. We wouldn’t go back even if the room was renovated due to this.

The one bedroom had a living area, kitchen bedroom Ana a separate bath. While the resort is 24 yrs. Old, my room was recently renovated and looked brand new. It’s a quit place and the pools are smallish and get to capacity quickly. Well maintained place and the golf course is on site. Large Walmart about a mile away and plenty of restaurants are nearby on hwy, 192. It is a time share facility but they don’t press to listen to their sales presentation. Would stay theree again

Let's begin by stating that the property is beautiful and the accommodations are fair. Unfortunately, my experience at the property this past March 19 through March 21, 2025 was horrible and I will not be returning anytime soon. The property has very limited shuttle service to transport guests throughout the resort and we were stranded at the main pool waiting on a shuttle pickup for over an hour in the blazing sun. Finally, after being picked up, after messaging the concierge several times, we were transported to the checkin center and complained to management to no avail. Next horrible experience(s) was that the bathroom ceiling in our unit leaked both nights of our stay flooding our bathroom floor and almost causing a slip hazard. We sent several messages to the concierge on this as well only to receive subpar accommodations and a minor adjustment to our reservation total. Next, we were left waiting on the shuttle again on a different day for nearly 45 minutes until we decided to just order an Uber ride off the resort. We initially intended to dine on the resort for breakfast but after waiting, what seemed like an eternity for the shuttle to pick us up, we decided otherwise. Again, we messaged several times to concierge on this issue as well. During our stay, we had the unfortunate experience of having to speak with three different managers regarding this failure in service and disappointment with our unit. The managers were attentive and professional, yet the accommodations to remedy these complaints were subpar. We had no opportunity to experience any of the resort amenities other than the main pool, yet we were still billed a resort fee for both nights. While the resort did refund one night stay, I feel they should have taken more steps to accommodate our horrible experience, especially with a flooded bathroom both nights of our two night stay. I cannot recommend this resort based on my experience and I do not intend on returning.

I don't know to began with this resort. But I can tell you this, I will not be back. My boyfriend and I checked in at this resort on March 19, 2025 and once we checked in it was nothing but horrible. First thing is that the resort has 1 shuttle to transport customers to other parts of the entire resort, which is unacceptable. We got dropped off at the main pool on the resort and once our room was ready for us to check in, we had to wait over an hour for us to be picked up. This is ridiculous!!!! I spoke to a manager by the name of Cora and she told me that she wasn't sure why it was only 1 shuttle available and that she would check into this matter and get back with me, but of course that never happened. Then the next day we tried to get picked by the shuttle to go to the restaurant that is on the resort for breakfast, we waited over 45 mins to where we just ordered an uber to leave the resort and we had to go have breakfast somewhere else. At the that we were waiting for the shuttle to come and pick us up it was an elderly lady who was on a cane and she had been waiting for at least 30mins and she was so upset and stated that she will not be coming back to this resort. Then the same night the drama continues to were our bathroom ceiling was linking water from the exhaust fan to were it was water all over the bathroom floor. My boyfriend called the front desk and they told him that they would have an engineer to come and check it out in the morning, well that never happened. The next night we ran into the same problem which I almost fell because it was water all over the floor again due to the ceiling leaking. My boyfriend spoke to a manger again which she told us that she would waive 60.00 in resort fee's which wasn't nothing, and I also spoke to another manger and he told me that they would waive 1 night free because of what we experienced. So when my boyfriend checked today on March 25, 2025 it's showing that they didnt waived anything. So he called them and the manager told him that he should see the amount credit by to his account by Friday and that they only will waived 1 night free and not waived the 60.00 resort fee. This people are so full of crap and I mean I will never ever come back to this damn place. This resort is ran poorly and people spend alot of money to come to these resorts but you don't get what you absolutely paid for.

One of the worst golf courses I ever played. Not maintained at all. It should be watered now and then. Good for golfers capable of hitting a ball off concrete. I will say most of the staff is friendly. The starter on March 13 stretched the truth when he said it is in good shape. Sheep would not eat the so called fairways. HORRIBLE
