The hotel itself is ok. No complains. However, I saw a $35 charge on my Credit card. Subsequently I found out many people have enquired about this. I emailed the hotel and below is their response. I have no problem if they yell you upfront, but they never mentioned about it during the check-in... this is UNACCEPTABLE ! Here is the email response: Please note that all guest are required to pay the mandatory destination charge of $30 plus tax per night.

I came to New York City for the first time traveling on my own after becoming disabled. From the moment I checked in I was treated with such kindness courtesy and respect. You see a lot of these folks really take a lot of abuse by guests and it's so unnecessary. I literally witnessed a guest just haranguing the staff because housekeeping had gone home for the evening it was 11:30 at night. I had the pleasure of meeting Ibeth when I checked in and she was fabulous. So kind and I had to call her a couple of times with questions when I got up to my room and still completely kind and wonderful. Then I met Frankie. He changed EVERYTHING! What a fantastic and dynamic gentlemen this guy is! Loved him over the phone loved him in person. I wasn't ready to leave New York and I wanted to stay another night and he told me what to do and how to take care of everything and then to call him and he took it from there. I really want to thank you all because it was a really big deal for me to come here and do this by myself because I had no support for my husband as he felt my disability could not let me go travel alone and enjoy myself. So Frankie, Ibeth, Melissa and all, I'm sending you so much love! 💕

My family’s stay was amazing. The hotel is centrally located, clean, and comfortable. But it was the staff that will have us coming back. From the front desk right when we arrived, to baggage check when we left, the staff was a delight. They are all so warm, welcoming, friendly and helpful. From the leadership to the maintenance man, they were nothing but accommodating. The wheelchair accessible room was spacious and had great views . We will be definitely coming back!

From the moment we arrived, we were treated with such genuine warmth and hospitality that it felt less like checking into a hotel and more like being welcomed into someone’s beautiful home. Ibeth and Ariel, our agents during the stay, went above and beyond every single day. Whether it was helping us organize excursions, offering local tips with a personal touch, or just checking in to make sure we were having the best time—they made our experience truly seamless. Their kindness felt so natural and unforced; you could tell they truly care about what they do and the people they serve. A special shoutout to Tyera, the hotel manager, who clearly leads by example. Her presence was calming and professional, and she took the time to greet guests personally, creating a space that felt not just luxurious, but also sincere and welcoming. We had a rough flight from PHX AZ, tired and hungry. Upon arrival we were told they did not have our reservation. Though we had confirmation as to the hotel. However, also said it was CANCELED. Neither Travelocity or the hotel knew why. No explanation as to why. One of the managers “JOE” tried to figure it out, to no avail. Things looked desperate and temperatures rising. Joe took control, settling is all down. By the end our visit, Joe made it right and we are planning our next visit. Sincere thanks to Joe and the restaurant staff. Regards Gary
