Great location, near the trolley and the historic district. The rooms were spacious and had step in showers. The concierge on duty when we checked in was professional, friendly and knowledgeable. All in all, it was a very pleasant stay.

St. Augustine was a stop on our spring break trip. We love the historic area but would not stay here again. It’s a bit too far from the historic district and parking downtown is hard to come by and expensive. The beds, linens and pillows are in very poor condition and need replacing. Breakfast was included with our room. Daily at the end of the meal we were given a receipt and were asked to indicate our room number and signature. We always tipped with cash and drew a line through tip portion of the receipt. Upon checkout we noticed on the second day of our stay our room was charged a $10 tip which was inaccurate. When I brought it to the attention of the gentleman working the front desk he seemed irritated and told us he’d need to contact “food and beverage”. He then said he’d email us a revised receipt. It’s been a few days since we checked out and we’ve received no follow up. It’s ridiculous that this wasn’t straightened out during check out. Was this an honest error, or did that server do this on purpose? Based on the cash tip I left combined with the additional $10 that was charged to the room, she made 50% of the value of the total meal. Ridiculous! Between the lack of concern from the front desk, being overcharged by the server and the poor sleep quality this place is a hard “no” as far as a return visit. If I ever hear back from the hotel I’ll update my review.

The property was clean, the staff very professional. The property is also, one mile to all the major locations that make Saint Augustine a special place to visit. I got value over what I would have paid to be right downtown. PS, it was also within a mile of the best take out desert places on earth, but you have to figure that out on your own.

Check in and room was great. One thing I found annoying, the bar had no Pinot or Chardonnay, yet the little store was selling bottles of them. Why wouldn't the bar get bottles from their store for their customers?
