We did the free ride and make your own candy bar. It was rather expensive on the weekend, but our kids had so much fun and want to go back.

"Milton Hershey an American story!"

The entire town of Hershey is truly incredible. Take some time to learn about the man behind it all—Milton Hershey. I was never a big fan of the Hershey bar itself, but after discovering who Mr. Hershey was and how profoundly he impacted the lives of so many, I became a fan of everything Hershey. Making chocolate there was such a fun and memorable experience—not just for me, but for my preteen kids at the time, who absolutely loved it. If you plan a visit, try to go when the weather is just right—not too hot and not too cold—so you can fully enjoy everything the town has to offer. Milton Hershey’s story is a true American legacy—one we should all cherish and pass on to the next generation.

So much to see and do. Yes to the free tour. Yes to the make your own candy bar. But, skip the tasting experience unless you have little kids, very corny. Didn't try the make your own Reese's cup, but it looked good

Samples and goodies during each experience. Free factory tour is cute trip to learn how Hershey chocolate is made. Unwrapped and Expedition were a little goofy but fun and great for kids. All staff we encountered were kind and helpful.
