Hampton Inn Key West in Key West, FL

We stayed here for 2 nights, booking the “Golf Cart rate” through Hilton.com, which included a Golf cart rental for 24 hours, for a little over $500 for 2 nights. When we got in at 5:15 pm, we were told the concierge had left for the day. The next day- we were told by the Concierge that the rate was just for 15% off a golf cart rental, not for an included cart as stated by our reservation. The front desk clerk proceeded to tell us that is a problem that needed to be addressed by Corporate- and it was just supposed to be a discounted golf cart, not one included like they had advertised on the Hilton website booking page. We asked to speak with the manager, and waited around till 9:30 am, and they said he was running late. We left our phone number so the manager could call us when he came in. He never did call to address the problem. We ended up calling the corporate office, and they are currently investigating our complaint. We came back at 9 pm from being out all day. The room never got cleaned. No fresh towels, our trash was overflowing, beds unmade. I called the front desk and am now waiting for them to send someone to take our trash and bring fresh towels. We will never stay here again. Terrible staff and management. Bait and switch offers for a golf cart that never materialized. We are checking out tomorrow. I hope the corporate office will address the issue of this hotel offering a Promo that they never intended to fulfill.

What a wonderful visit we had. We got a room with a balcony and the elevators worked great. The view was phenomenal. A good breakfast with some eggs, bacon, fruit, oatmeal for free. The staff was polite. The shuttle bus was nice and new but very high up and not easy for handicapped people to get in and out of. It’s more of a mini van that fits ten rather than a bus so you have to squeeze through seats. I have a bad knee so we took it going but I taxied back just so I didn’t risk my knee. The room exceeded my expectations and I would definitely stay here again.

I have stayed at this hotel multiple times. Sometimes a review based on a single visit can be misleading if there was an exceptionally bad (or good) experience. But every stay at this hotel has been exceptionally great! The rooms are modern and updated. The pool area is always clean and very well maintained. The Cheekie Hut is a great place to hang out and their food offerings are very good and reasonably priced as well. Friendly bartenders and great drinks. They have a complimentary shuttle running every 45 minutes that takes you downtown near the waterfront and it’s only about a 5 minute walk to Duval Street. Waterfront Brewery and Schooner Wharf Bar are right at the drop off point, both establishments serve food and several other restaurants are a short walk away. They also provide a shuttle to and from the airport which is very close. Recently they have dropped the resort fee which I think is actually a good thing, you’re not paying for things you may not use. So if you’re parking your car there it’s $15 per day. Your resort fee included 2 free drinks which are not offered now. But the drink selection was limited and even if you buy the 2 drinks and pay to park you’re spending about what the resort fee was. They offer free breakfast which is very good and the hot food selection does change daily. The breakfast area is always well stocked and attended to. It is available from 7:30 to 10:30 AM daily. They also have a mini store with snacks and drinks and miscellaneous items that you may need. Free bottled water is available at the front desk. As for room selection there are basically 3 types. You options will be: 1. King or 2 queens Room (This is a separate building and will be the least expensive rooms but keep in mind there are no balconies or patios and limited views) 2. Pool View Rooms. (1st and 2nd floor rooms all with patios or balconies with a great view of the pool and good views of the ocean which is right across the street. In my opinion these are the best rooms to get.) 3. Oceanview Rooms (These are in a separate building which directly faces the ocean with fantastic views from either the 1st or 2nd floors. These are the most expensive rooms and it is a short walk to the lobby/pool/breakfast area.) A great hotel with awesome employees who go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable. Sam, Isaias, and Aime are all exceptional people who made a great stay even better. My last bit of advice is to always book directly with this (or any) hotel. 3rd party bookings can cause issues sometimes and remember you will be dealing with whatever party you paid through and the hotel itself may not be able to help you. And sign up for the rewards/points program. You may get a better rate and it’s free. (You generally do not get reward points when booked through 3rd party sites) Overall an excellent hotel and in my opinion you can’t go wrong staying here.

The hotel and grounds are beautiful. Sam, the front desk agent is the best! Sam was welcomed me with a big smile, answered all my questions, and was wonderful! Thank you Sam! The shuttle drivers were also all amazing. I didn't get any other their names, but they were all absolutely outstanding. We will be back as often as we can!

Wasn’t sure about this but turned out to be a nice experience. The room was in building six. The airport is behind the building. There is a nice private balcony on the backside of the room. The planes didn’t fly during the night and heard the first one around 7a. The room with 2 beds was very roomy , clean, quiet. The towels were a little thin but otherwise a nice place. The bar & food at Cheekie Hut was very good. The pool was closed for acid cleaning. The grounds were nice enough. Kim at the check-in was a great.
