Embassy Suites by Hilton Irvine-Orange County Airport in Irvine, CA

Not a good stay for the Hilton brand that advertises “When it matters most, choose Hilton for the stay.” We encountered multiple issues 1) We arrived at the hotel around 1:00pm. Lobby was empty, as was the front desk at check-in. When a front desk person arrived and began the check-in process she informed us that there would be a $35 charge for early check-in…..nope. This hotel was maybe 1/3 occupied on a Sunday afternoon and we declined the extra charge. When we declined, the clerk went ahead and checked us in anyway, but what an attempted rip-off. If a guest is there, and there are clean rooms available, why would you charge extra to check in a few hours early? Parking is also $37/day. I know that’s fairly standard in cities now, but it feels like another money grab. 2) At check-in we told the clerk we would need shuttle transportation to the airport the next morning. Clerk informed us that shuttle was broken, but the hotel would arrange for a Lyft. Next morning the Lyft driver arrived and clearly had no idea where she was going and tried to access the parking garage instead of heading out of the hotel to the airport. We had to tell her how to get out of the hotel parking lot, and now we’re running behind for our flight. Upon arrival to the airport we were hurrying to get out of the car and I left a bag in the backseat. My fault, but I realized it quickly and called the hotel to report the mistake in hopes that the driver could make a quick return to the airport. The hotel provided the driver’s contact number, which was invalid. Hotel clerk says he can’t do anything more. So my bag, purchased in Switzerland, is now in the hands of a Lyft driver somewhere in Orange County. Hotel staff was unsympathetic and unhelpful. Lyft must have a warehouse somewhere with passengers property that only their employees know about….my bag is gone for sure. Never would have happened if the shuttle was available as advertised. 3) We had stayed at this hotel 3 days earlier for 3 nights and received no housekeeping the first 2 nights. On the 1st night I discovered that the shampoo container in the shower was empty. No big deal, I used my travel shampoo and assumed the container would be filled the next day…..my mistake. On the 2nd night we discovered upon returning that once again we did not have housekeeping services, so I approached a housekeeper and asked her about the shampoo and she started yelling at me “no service, no service.” I then pointed at the towels and she reluctantly gave me 2 clean towels. On the 3rd day we did receive housekeeping services, but the shampoo was again overlooked. Overall a very disappointing stay. We’re going back to Hyatt in the future.

My stay at the hotel was absolutely wonderful. I would especially like to thank Jackie at the reception for her outstanding professionalism and kindness. She was incredibly helpful and courteous throughout my stay, which made a real difference. The buffet was delicious, and I loved the beautiful design of the hotel—especially the natural light streaming in from the top opening, giving the space a warm and welcoming feel. Truly a great experience. I will definitely stay here again!

I traveled here for business and what I really liked about the embassy was that the rooms are nice and big, and the location is absolutely awesome by the airport. This gentleman by the name of Bruno help me with a couple questions I had, and then he also showed me the vacation special that I thought was a really good value!

I have been to this location quite a few times I have always enjoyed my visits. All staff has been pleasant from shuttle driver all the way to housekeeping. Breakfast is full of various items all temperature appropriate. Plus a made fresh omelet station. Beautiful location with comfy beds and a great little bar for a night cap.

The made to order breakfast was right on time! The slept like a queen in the plush bed. Highly recommend very clean. Zed even presented an amazing vacation getaway. Will definitely stay here again. Great high end thrift shopping within walking distance .
