"Anthony Crushed It!"

Had a dinner and was serviced by Anthony. Man was a consummate professional with charming and subtle service. Burger and Tacos made to exact specifications and were absolutely delicious. All that and I didnt even need to leave my hotel lobby! Good job and service, ladies and gentlemen 🫡

Brix Kitchen at the DoubleTree Hotel. Phoenix Mahi Street Tacos. Wow - first rate! Excellent service, very friendly staff. Anthony our server has been at this same hotel location for 22 years! Highly recommend Brix for the traveler too tired to Venture out.

Stopped for appetizers and a football game. Lively little lounge with large screen tvs. Anthony the server very responsive and friendly. Blackened salmon tacos were very tasty.

At the time of writing this review (November 2025), the property is pending renovation and that progress is felt across the property in every area except the restaurant. Even still, I found that the room rate paid was also seemly adjusted to compensate. So for the money, I expect this to be one of the best value pics for the area. To distill down the experience into a list of pros and cons. Pros: restaurant was amazing. Breakfast buffet was the best I have had in my travels for several years not due to extravagance but due to strength of execution. Everything from the cook on the hot dishes to the prep on a fresh fruit compote was executed well. Similarly, all other dishes experienced over my three day stay were similarly excellent with a standout being the blackened salmon tacos that were on special. I also appreciated the airport shuttle, the large suite style rooms with excellent temperature control, and the general helpfulness of the staff. Also, the hotel simply feels like it is managed well. For the cons, the property is preparing for a construction phase and furnishings and infrastructure feel dated. Beds lacked a soft pillow for back sleeping, the tvs were cable instead of streaming, and the bathroom lights turned on automatically blinding me if I ever entered when it was dark. Overall a positive experience and I would recommend the property to others visiting the broader area. Once the renovations are complete I expect it to truly be a standout pick.

"Relaxing Dinner at Doubletree Brix Restaurant"

The Brix restaurant at the Doubletree is certainly fortunate to have Anthony on staff. He brought a great attitude to the dining experience with fast service and just the right amount of attention. The Margarite flatbread was just what I needed to finish off the day.
