While I have visited Annapolis and number of times, I’ve never stayed at the Doubletree. I wish I had. I arrived and was greeted very warmly by the manager and staff at the front desk. I had checked in electronically, but they were still there to provide me direction. The room is a bit worn, but very clean. I was able to spend some time at the outdoor pool and it was clean and relaxing. I was happily surprised to hear that there is a complementary shuttle that can take you to city dock in Annapolis, right by the Naval Academy as well as other locations within 5 miles.. John the shuttle driver was incredibly professional and knowledgeable about local sites and restaurants. I also had a drink at the bar. Patrick, the bartender was professional, courteous, and friendly. They run a well oiled machine at the Doubletree. We return annually and will definitely come back. Whomever is managing this property is doing a great job!

The hotel room is always clean and modern with a frig and coffee/tea making in the room. The restaurant offers good meals also and a very nice breakfast buffet on the weekends along with helpful servers. There are many sitting areas in the hotel as well as outside on their grounds.

Don't be fooled by the gates out front, or the shiny entrance and lobby. Once you walk past that and get to the elevator - it nosedives in quality. Weed smell everywhere, stepping out of the elevator felt like I just time traveled to the 90s, and not in the good way. Room was small, outdated decor and feel, ceiling was barely taller than I am when you walk in. Extremely low quality all around. The bathroom door wouldnt close correctly and the handle was practically falling off and wouldnt lock. Bad place to celebrate your wedding anniversary.... We turned around and left. They offered no refund, and said they can give me another room - but that isnt the problem. This whole place is just a cheap, low quality motel-6 masquerading as a Hilton. We spent 3 min in the room and the "best they could do" is leave a sticky note for the manager who was not there, naturally. AVOID THIS PLACE. Go to the Marriott nearby - literal night and day difference for barely $50 more a night.

Possibly the worst hotel experience of my lifetime. Originally supposed to arrive on February 17 but, due to bad weather, called the hotel to cancel. We were informed that it was too late to cancel, but they agreed to move our reservation to Saturday, February 22nd for a few dollars more. Upon arrival at the hotel there was no reservation and the surly desk clerk informed us we were being charged as a no-show on the 17th. She said we could talk to a manager in the morning. I attempted to get ice, found three ice machines on various floors, all out of order. Had a ten minute delay getting bags upstairs because staff was holding both elevators. Tried to call desk to find ice and found house phone also out of order. Hoping to wash away this horrible day, I attempted to take a shower -- no hot water. Individual at front desk in the morning said I would be getting a phone call about the reservation mix-up. No word so far. Would rate this hotel a zero if that was an option. This shouldn't be a Hilton, more like a Motel 6 that forgot to leave the light on.
