"A wonderful historic getaway!"

Girls trip of 5 women aged 50+. We stayed 4 nights on property in one of the Colonial Houses, the Moody House. It was wonderful! We had a full kitchen and living room that we took full advantage of relaxing in after a long day of walking through the 18th century. The house stayed comfortable cool even in the heat of July. And the proximity to the main attraction could not have been better. The house as clean, comfortable, and beautiful. Perfect place to stay for the full colonial experience. The customer service of the Inn was top notch. Everything was handled with a personal phone call and very professional. The living museum is exceptional. From the interpreters and tradespeople, to the food and wait staff, everyone was helpful, friendly, and super knowledgable. I appreciated the broad brush view of history that gave insight into all levels of society. Highly recommend.

"Good Value in the Heart of Colonial Williamsburg"

We booked the Colonial Houses and were given a room in the Brickhouse Tavern. We found the room quaint, cozy, and a good value. The room wasn't huge, but it had two twin beds, a full bathroom, a desk, table, dresser, TV, and small fridge. It was adequate for our needs, and we liked being able to walk right outside our door and start touring, as the Brickhouse Tavern is on the main thoroughfare, Duke of Gloucester Street. There is a shuttle stop a short walk from the Brickhouse Tavern, and parking is conveniently behind the building. Most evenings we took the shuttle to Merchants Square to find a restaurant for dinner, so except for visits to Jamestown and Yorktown, which are also nearby, we didn't need to drive while staying at the Brickhouse Tavern. We also enjoyed being able to use the pools at the Williamsburg Inn, which was a couple blocks away from the room we were staying in. Overall, we are very glad we stayed right in Colonial Williamsburg.

"Avoid Bracken House at Williamsburg Inn"

Don't plan to stay at a Colonial House at the Williamsburg Inn. The air conditioning in the houses cannot keep the rooms at a reasonable temperature. The Bracken House is very poorly appointed. The rugs are disgusting and falling apart. No options were offered so we were stuck there.
