Old property but had fun wonderful around. Slots were holding their own, an older shopping area but had fun there. Good food prices. Not luxurious but was worth stop to see the old style casino. We were staying next door at a property so can say anything about rooms. I’m glad I stopped by and had some good times playing. Casino has multiple ares so explore the property

"Water shut off management doesn’t care!!"

Hotel chose not to inform guests in rv park that water was turned off when I spoke to manager she stated it was an emergency yet no one thought they should inform their guests!! It’s over 100 degrees and that’s not important? Worse experience we’ve ever had, Circus Circus management doesn’t care if someone experiences heat stroke!!!🥵 it’s all about money not safety!!

"Stayed elsewhere after trying two "refreshed" rooms"

I’ve walked through circus circus several years ago, and really didn’t expect very much from booking here. For those who aren’t familiar, there’s usually a handful of homeless folks outside, and just a general run-down feeling from the place being so old. Nevertheless I thought i’d give it a try after seeing the “newly refreshed west tower” option. HUGE mistake. Nothing has been improved about this place, and all that was updated in the tower were the floors, switched from carpet to vinyl planks. the room stank of decades of cigarettes and was disgustingly dirty. beds were made but a layer of dirt coated everything from furniture to floor, along with several stray black hairs in every corner. plus old wallpaper, stained ceilings, the bathroom fixtures were clearly original and all leaking, and the dresser had broken handles with one drawer fully jammed shut. the check in staff (standing infrequently around the kiosks) offered another room on a higher floor, but after checking, it had most of the same issues. Suffice it to say we did not stay here, but the management refused to fully refund us despite the blatant false advertising of “newly refreshed” but i suppose it’s the cost of a lesson learned! sorry to say this place is now far beyond beyond run down, clearly incapable of any redemption, and just needs to be demolished to make room for another modern property.

"They actively sell room types they don’t have."

I’m going to start this review by saying if I hadn’t had the issues with the booking i probably would have rated it a 3. The hotel is huge and it’s a huge walk to get anywhere. The rooms were clean and beds comfortable but very dated. They charge extra for a fridge. Below is an extract of my email to management and their reply. “ Upon arrival, I was assigned a room on the 6th floor, despite booking a higher floor based on the booking details and how the options were presented online. When I brought this up with the front desk, a staff member named CJ informed me that it is not possible to reserve a high floor in advance, and that for over 35 years, rooms have always been assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. I was also told that any upcharges are limited to items like mini-fridges and coffee makers. However, after reviewing both your own website and the listing on Booking.com, it appears that high room floors and views are in fact selectable during the reservation process. This made the explanation I received from your staff feel inconsistent and, frankly, misleading. It left me wondering: why am I able to book a high-floor room if there is no intention of honoring that selection?” Response “ Hello, Thank you for reaching out to us. We apologize for any misunderstanding about the booking of your reservation. We appreciate all feedback, we see that upon checking in through our kiosk it was automatically room was selected for you. If needing a special request, our agent would have to input the room number if we have it available upon checking in, due to all self checkin through our kiosk. We will investigate the discrepancy with 3rd party booking and the agent you spoke with during your interaction. Thank you.” This response highlighted the standard of customer service at the resort. I do not appreciate being intentionally misled in to booking a room and based on that I would not stay here again.

"Camping at Circus Circus"
TripAdvisor user rating 3 out of 5
Reviewed June 26, 2025 NEW
This was a large parking lot turned into a paved campground with full hookups. Gates were kept locked after hours but phone was available to get gate code if you forgot it or it wouldn't work. Some sites had parts missing like one water facet instead of two. They quickly assigned a different site. When you check in, there is a small room with two quiost and one phone. You had to use the machines and if it didn't give you a receipt and gate keys (cards) you have to go into the hotel to finish the registration process. Be prepared to walk or rent a scooter. It does have to be returned inside. It was on the strip. Buffet was not open during the week so we went to The Winn seafood buffet with prime rib and lots of choices and to the Italian restaurant Allegra. No outside cooking at campground. Would stay again if in a travel trailer.
