Spent 2 winter months at the Avista. The majority of the staff are wonderful and helpful, always ready to help out. Bryan and Frank both helped us with our luggage (and lots of extra stuff) checking in and checking out. Both were extremely helpful and friendly. Don’t know what would have done without them. The place is clean, living room furniture could be a little more comfortable, some couches are pretty rough and dated, beds are very comfortable and room cleaning staff are friendly and thorough. The Avista is perfect for us for our Ohio winter getaway.

We had such an amazing time at the Avista resort and all of that was thanks to the amazing staff specifically Cornelius. He was very helpful offering to drive us to the garage, helping us with our luggage, and helping us checkout. Not to mention his wonderful personality!

We have a one bedroom, beach view balcony with two beds in one room, queen size and a trundle bed in the living room with couch and chairs and table. Nice little kitchen. We love it. It’s been beautiful and everybody here has been delightful and coach is awesome. We really enjoyed getting to know him very very helpful And the ladies at the desk just as helpful can’t complain. We’ll come again.

The management at this establishment is poor to say the least. From an employee prospective they show favoritism as well as nepotism. The only bartender that was fun and entertaining was named Lord Brian .My whole family loved him but on our last trip sadly he was not there. Frankly he was one of the reasons we enjoyed our stay. management at this establishment cares very little about anything other than the all mighty dollar. Furthermore they claim to have a chef on staff but all the food is made by line cooks and taste like it came from a bag. Breakfast was ok though. I have not only been in the hospitality business but I have also built and managed restaurants in my career. I have never seen a business that cares so little about their staff and clearly has no set of rules that apply to all. Yay they have a beach bar but unless you’re staying there it would be inaccessible to you anyway. The food is poor and so is the service. Skip this place if you don’t want to be let down.
