A shout out to Frank at the front desk. My original lodging had been canceled on me so I was scrambling. He was very patient, kind and helpful. Adriana was also kind in the morning when I told her that I couldn’t reach anyone at 2 o’clock in the morning at the front desk. She apologized and said she would report it. There were so many parties that were so loud because they were so overbooked. They get four stars because the staff is incredible and that includes the cleaning staff. I was pleasantly surprised as to how clean it was. I manage short term rentals and would give my right arm for a staff that did that nice job.

We were greeted by a rude staff member, who wouldn't let my wife check in, even though her name was on the reservation, her name on the confirmation email, and it was her card used to pay for the room. "Hot breakfast available" apparently means a coupon to the Panera in the same parking lot. Parking charges for guests are insane, as this is your property, and the amount isn't listed on the website. The room was in a weird offshoot building and built in a way that my vehicle hangs out in the street while I try to get the gate open. The setup is something I would consider a motel, with doors just open to the outside. While the flooring was nice, the subfloor near the bathroom was soft like rotting wood. The only nice thing I have to say was that, at checkout, the woman running the desk asked if we had a nice stay, as we were leaving a day early. I told her no and listed the reasons above, and she waived the parking fees for us. My wife and I are starting to travel more as the kids are leaving the house. This really soured us on Wyndham hotels. Other hotel chains advertised if they had parking fees on their website, as well as breakfast options, in a prominent manner. If I need to scrutinize Wyndham listings with a fine tooth comb, I'd rather just exclude them in the future.
