"Beware! Our vacation experience as a current Westgate Resort and Casino Owner"

LONG POST BUT WORTH THE READ.... My husband and I checked in to Westgate Resort and Casino, Las Vegas the evening of June 28th. We were assigned room 1049 (central). Upon entering the room, we found that the air conditioning wasn’t working very well. There was a pill on the floor and hair on the jacuzzi. The bed was hard so I requested maintenance for the AC, deodorizer as the room had a funning smell (like raw sewage) and comforters or mattress pads to soften the bed. After a while, it seemed as though the room began to cool down so we decided to stay in the room. Maintenance did not respond nor did housekeeping bring additional padding for the bed. We reported this to our concierge who also put in requests on our behalf. While looking for silverware in the room, we discovered an open bottle of vodka, orange juice and an unopened bottle of champagne in the cabinet. We poured the vodka and orange juice out and put the unopened bottle of champagne in the refrigerator to consume at a later time. On June 29th in the early part of the day, we again made another request for blankets/mattress pads. We were out of the room most of the day and returned around 10:15 p.m. to discover that the blankets or mattress pad still had not been delivered. Two additional requests were made and at 11:00 p.m. were finally delivered to us. By this time the smell of raw sewage was stronger and during the night, the toilet began to run off and on, like filling up the tank. On June 30th, I demanded another room. While packing up to move into the new room, we discovered that the bottle of unopened champagne was gone. Someone came into our room and removed it! This is why they tell you not to leave valuables in your room!! We reported it to our Concierge. We were then moved to room 1249 (central). This room was no better. It too had a stronger odor of raw sewage. On July 1st, I requested another room and was assigned to room 550 (central). This room was nicer and bigger than the others, however, that smell was still present (faintly). We purchased a can of Lysol which made it bearable. I talked to the manager about the inconvenience of having to move twice after the initial check-in and requested some type of compensation for our troubles. He informed me that we had been given a $100 resort credit, however, no one told us! Our last day was July 5th. We checked out at 2:30 a.m. to catch an early flight. We are currently fighting with them over a double charge at the Viva Coffee & Espresso shop located at the resort. We are Westgate Owners at the same resort. When we purchased 2 years ago, they gave us a tour of the NICE part of the resort which had been beautifully remodeled and decorated. They put us in the oldest part of the resort which is dated hasn’t been touched in YEARS. We will keep our timeshare but will not stay at Westgate Resort and Casino EVER AGAIN.

They ask if I wanted to upgrade to a better room for a charge of course, and I did. But my room wasn't upgraded. It was the same room I booked online. They would not help me when I tried to ask about it.

I am a newer Westgate owner and Fransisco was wonderful with answering my every question no matter what time I sent him a message. His goal was to make my stay enjoyable. I hade the best view and was so thankful for such a great room! Fransisco also made suggestions of local stores to go to for a few things I wanted to pick up as well as he highly recommended the restaurants in the property. I would recommend Westgate 10/10

"Never staying here again"

I am an owner on vacation until tomorrow morning. We normally go to flamingo bay, but thought to give this location a try. We have an early flight to leave tomorrow and now have a concert at the pool to contend with until 10pm. We are on the 14th floor and the windows are rattling, the floor is rumbling and because I can't sleep I can't even hear the TV I turned on to try to drown out the music. The volume is excessive. On top of that, I think a smoker checked in because the room suddenly smells like an ashtray and I'm sneezing like crazy. I also had an allergic reaction to whatever detergent they use to clean the sheets. While I'm on a roll, let's talk about the sink. I can't reach it to turn it on to make coffee or clean dishes unless I climb on the bar stools. We will absolutely never stay here again. I called the front desk and a woman transferred me to your office. The phone just rang and rang with no answer even by voicemail. I was going to beg you to have the music turned down a bit. I am ready to call the local police to file a complaint. this was a a horribly unpleasant location to stay.
