Staff pleasant. Room clean and comfortable. Mostly quiet. Sometimes can hear siren as the fire station is next door. Overall, a nice stay here. Windows are a plus. There is definitely a lot of walking. Got a good last minute rate for a one bedroom suite. But 62 dollar resort fee is nuts! Pool wasn’t even open. Stayed center strip this visit. Usually prefer the north side because it is easier to walk and feels less crowded there and don’t have as much up and down stairs nonsense to get from A to B. Nice place but not sure I’d stay again. Again fee is too high. As others have mentioned, stay away from mini fridge and snacks. Ex-Small can of pringles is 14 dollars.

"I recommend staying somewhere else"

The good: The hotel is quiet (we never heard other guests while we were in our room) and it was nice to be away from the hustle and bustle of the strip. I also appreciated that there isn’t a casino, nor smoking allowed at this hotel. The bad: I was overcharged by $40 after I checked out (without explanation - my folio doesn’t reflect the additional money charged to my card). It is IMPOSSIBLE to get through to the Vdara to inquire about the additional money I was charged. Their direct lines don’t connect. The 866# disconnects whenever you select anything aside from reservations. That is super shady. Beyond that, the first morning I showered in this hotel, I had the distinct and unfortunate experience of standing in several inches of water because the drain was clogged. I find it hard to believe that the housekeeping staff never observed this when cleaning the shower; its ridiculous that they wait until a paying guest has to deal with the disgusting experience of standing in dirty water, having to report it, etc. I expect more/better when I stay at a hotel in the class of the Vdara. If you need a bottle of water, they charge approximately $10 per bottle; more expensive than Disney, which is pretty crazy. When we needed to depart at 3:30 a.m., the hotel refused to allow my husband to borrow a luggage cart to help with our belongings. My husband requested a bellhop assist us. We waited over 15 minutes and the bellhop never showed. So, my husband ended up lugging our 4 pieces of luggage downstairs because we had a flight to catch. It seems there is only one luggage cart/bellhop and that individual was sitting in the lobby for a good 15 mins with a cart full of luggage and several women standing next to him and the cart. It would have been nice if the hotel would have explained they only have one cart and they were going to be sitting in the lobby for a long time and wouldn’t be able to assist. There’s many options to stay in Las Vegas. I would recommend staying elsewhere.

"Not Clean. Stay Elsewhere."

This may have been a nice hotel at one point, but it's tired and in need of a refresh. The bones, including room size and proximity to other MGM resorts/airport, are fine. But my hotel room nor bathroom were clean, the furniture is well-used and the linens are thread-bare (or, in some cases, worn through). There was hair in nearly every towel I unfolded and there was even hair on the ceiling. Wallpaper was peeling from the walls and I had to wear sandals in the shower--you couldn't pay me to use the tub. Additionally, the blinds have large gaps which do not block the light--I'm not sure if it is because they are old and warped or if there was an initial design flaw. I come to Las Vegas for work about twice a year for work and booked Vdara as it was near my conference. I did not feel comfortable and I will not book here again. Pics provided.

"Overpriced, but so is Vegas!"

I’ve been to Vegas many times. Initially I was going to say that Vdara is overpriced, but all of Vegas is overpriced now! There were no amenities in bathroom. Just dispensers. I had to ask for my bath robe and slippers…. and kitchen stuff. The switches for lights and blinds are no where near the bed, so no bedside lamps. Room was big though. Nice big windows. Plenty of space, and the front desk left a gift in our room for our anniversary, which was kind.

"Think twice before booking here"

You may want to think twice before booking here Check in was impossible! Don’t miss the ramp upto and circle around to the Vdara otherwise you end up going right thru up onto the bridge and have to circle back around. Once you find your way to the front there is NO stopping and the valet is waiving you to move. No bag drop unless you use valet and bell boy service. Vadara doesn’t have any self parking if you want to park yourself you have to go find it in Aria or Belogio all with fees that are not included in the resort fee. Be prepared to walk a mile with your bags to get back to the Vdara. Our room was booked as a king high floor and the gal at check in suggested she had a bit of an upgrade for a partial view of the fountains at Belogio. When we got to our room there was a faint smell of pot but we thought it was in the hall. When we went in the microwave fan was on and it smelled like cleaning solution and we thought the room had just been cleaned so we dropped our bags and went out for dinner. When we returned a couple of hours later the room had a terrible pot smell. So we went to the front desk to let them know. The clerk said she would switch rooms for us. I mentioned that we had a partial fountain view and could we get that again. She said we didn’t pay for that so she has a room but she can’t guarantee it will have a fountain view. For the amount you pay for a room and the resort fee you would think you would have parking, clean rooms and a better overall experience at the front desk when the room was not acceptable. We will never stay here again.
