"Dusty and dilapidated room"

Jagged fridge handle that lightly cut a few fingers welcomed me to a room on the 15th floor that had a great view and lots of dusty and stained and beat up furniture. The big lighted mirror in bathroom didn’t work and one of the light bulbs on my hubby’s side of bed was out. Asked for a light bulb to be brought up on the second day. Got a hotel electrician to deliver it. Told him I didn’t need him to put in the lightbulb just give me the new one as I handed him the burnt out one. Also, at that time I informed him of the mirror light switch connection that was busted in the bathroom and that he might want to write that down to have fixed after we leave. Who knows if he did? Why doesn’t this hotel have housekeeping do simple SOP’s of putting on all the light fixtures to make sure they’re all working properly? The kicker was there were no outlets on either side of the bed and the only usb ports were two they had in the hotel owned tablet holder! Nothing says this hotel is badly in need of an update like not having any technology concerning cell phones. Don’t look down at the old and frayed carpet either. It will make you gag. We didn’t complain because we had three nights comped to us by MGM. I’m just wondering if we got this room because it was comped to us. Would we have received a nicer room if we had paid? Oh and room service food is the worst!! Just go to one of the many choices you have at the other hotels that are attached to Vdara by convenient walkways, hallways, and stairways.

Room was dirty! Mini fridge was empty and we did not request. Not one bottle of water or coffee set up. We would not have paid 18.00 for a coffee pod and paper cup but still not there. Rug had a huge cut in it that you could trip on. Lightbulb in lamp was out. After all of that you would think they could send anything up as an apology but no!! Would never stay there again

"Perfect hotel and ARIA facilities perfect"

This is a great hotel. Our room was excellent, high end stuff and our view was perfect. Full width of the room windows and 2 TVs, 1 in sofa area and the other in the bedroom. The staff on reception and luggage storage were very professional. We used the ARIA pool which is one of the best in vegas with sun all day, shade can be found though in small areas. The added extra of using the ARIA facilities and no casino made the hotel perfect for us. I would ignore any poor reviews and go for this hotel.

"Clean, but some customer service issues"

This hotel is over rated. The rooms are dated the housekeeping is horrible. Don’t drink the coffee in the room, it’s 18$ for two cups. Calling the front desk you are on hold forever. As is the check in process. It is however a very clean hotel. Just a bit disappointed in the quality of service. The first night they didn’t even clean my room. The second day they left dirty coffee cups in the sink.

"Square footage Scam, Valet Scam, and Sewer Water"
TripAdvisor user rating 1 out of 5
Reviewed May 15, 2025 NEW
Booked a hospitality Suite that I am currently staying in which supposed to be 1600 Sqft and is definitely not. VDARA has a disclaimer that the square footage is approximate and can vary. Total scam. Spoke to front desk and they spoke to a Lauren on the phone. Lauren who was the front desk manager was completely unaccommodating. I asked if I could see if there are other lay outs and she refused and hit me with the tired "we are fully booked" rebuttal. Fully booked in this current recession? Sure. My 1500 Sqaure foot vacation home in LA is bigger than this 1600 square foot "Hospitality Suite". This is my first night here which staying for another 2 days feels like a chore. Also they don't care if you spend thousands of dollars on a suite you are just a number to them. The room is worn and they gave me the lowest floor for suite type which is 42 which I feel is racially motivated because of my name. I know the hotel industry and I know what giving the lowest floor means. The next day I was trying to take a shower in the Master Bedroom and the water would not drain. Called front desk and they sent a tech out to unclog it. Went to the guest bedroom to take a shower and black sewer water came up in the Master bathroom! Completely disgusting. Called front desk and told them the issue and the way they replied seemed like it was normal. On top of it all Valet scammed me and made me pay outside while I was also getting charged on my room. Front desk told me I had to go ask Valet for a refund. All this and I didn't even touch base on cleanliness. Stay clear from this property. The W is much better if you are looking to stay at an MGM property.
