The little details made a difference! Everything was amazing from the robes, to the bluetooth speaker in the room, the hot water pot for coffee, the cute little fridge. The beds were clean and comfortable and the blackout curtains were great. Every staff member that we interacted with, at the front desk, bar and restaurant was personable and looked like they enjoyed their job and took care of us better than we expected. We will return to The State Hotel next time we are in Seattle.

"Great Staff & Clean, Well-Designed Rooms"
TripAdvisor user rating 5 out of 5

This hotel exceeds others in its class in the following ways: 1. Welcoming, gracious, and proactive staff. 2. Wonderful views of the Puget Sound and the Olympics from the uppermost floors. 3. Clean rooms with a modern aesthetic. 4. Enough space (as a solo traveler in a single queen room) that I didn’t worry once about stubbing my toe or tripping into furniture. 5. Great lobby hangout. 7. The exact right amount of standard amenities, and more on offer if you need/want (I’m not a fan of clutter, esp in hotel rooms). 6. It also houses one of my favorite restaurants in the entire city, Ben Paris. 7. And finally, the hallway wallpaper choices alone are worth a look-see ;) Many thanks to The State for a great short stay on short notice!

Stayed here for an event at climate pledge and it was so convient to the stadium, perfect location! Everyone was so friendly and helpful. When we checked in, the woman at the front desk was talking about the delicious trail mix and malt balls and we were so suprised and delighted to see both waiting for us in our room when we came back from the event, it was the perfect way to end the night. And before left for the event the bar tender was super friendly and chatty, and he made great drinks! We couldn't be happier.
