Went to Vegas to see Dead and Company at the Sphere. Didn't wan t to stay on the Strip so we found this Hampton Inn in South Vegas. FANTASTIC1 Comfortable beds, quiet atmosphere, even with lots os children and teens. Breakfast was amazingly delicious. We will definitely stay here on any trips to Las Vegas.

First and last time i would stay at this hotel, service charges for amenities not open, carpark not used because we didn't have a car, poor WI FI,restaurant good selection, but food is not served hot, safety deposit box repaired on 2 occasions, water would not drain very quickly in the bathroom basin, but the worse was the smell of cigarette smoke every where you went in the casino area,on occasions more than the smell of tobacco smoke something definitely stronger, would not recommend this place to anyone ,still waiting for my deposit to be put back into my account

"Fewer Stars for This Stay...."
TripAdvisor user rating 3 out of 5

We have stayed at the Orleans 14 times and consider it our go-to hotel in Vegas. Everything I have said in my prior reviews is still essentially true, but we had some issues this time which cause us to withhold two stars... Check-in with the new electronic kiosk system was, as advertised, easy and quick. HOWEVER nowhere in the process were we informed that we were checking in EARLY and would be charged an extra $39.55. Seems to us, that message should pop up on the screen before Step One.... We didn't find the charge until we were home. The Resort Fee is really unfair. Just raise your rates already and forget the pretense that we're getting something extra. There is NO shuttle, the pool area was closed, and now there is no longer even a tiny Keurig coffee maker in the room. I predict a parking fee by next year. (And I remember when The Orleans used to actually advertise that they didn't charge a resort fee...) Where entertainment is concerned, we mourn the coming loss of Laughternoon. Adam is hilarious! Is more poker space really more important than a family-friendly show? And what happened to the Jersey Boys long-term contract? We were there for basketball, so had plenty to entertain us, but I don't know how you're attracting other guests with your entertainment line-up going forward. Finally, the restaurant situation causes us to leave the property much more often than we used to. With the loss of the Buffet, and now of TGI Fridays, the choices are much diminished. Alder and Birch is only open 5 hours, and only on 5 days? Really? Copper Whisk has limited hours as well, closing at 3 p.m. twice a week. (Remember when it was 24-hour option??) Oh, and Bailiwick's is taking up the slack by opening 1 whole hour earlier? The Food Court was overwhelmed on the game-night we ate there. The positive feelings we have about the hotel itself remain. You have a fine housekeeping staff; rooms are spacious and clean; location is just right. But we left after this stay with just a bit of a sour taste in our mouths.

"Dated and Smoky. Only stay due to conference/meeting"

So smoky in the casino area, everyone was coughing. No variety of restaurants. Why is the cafe not open on Wednesday nights? The sports bar Brunswick was expensive, and the food was cold, had to send it back 2 times and finally gave up. I was there for a conference/meeting and the upstairs women's restroom was closed all day. I have been coming here for 10+ years, and it has never been this bad. The hotel rooms are basic although dated. I realize it's a place for bowling events, sports etc. And I appreciate the amount of security on site.

"Where do I put leftovers!"

Another visit to the Orleans in Las Vegas. It has been a good stay. But for f@#$ sake, put the coffee makers and mini fridge back in the room. You're not going to go broke Orleans because people aren't buying every cup of coffee in the coffee shop and bringing leftovers back to the room. Welcome to Las vegas!
