"Price was right but missing amenities and affordable food choices."

Stayed here at the end of February for a couple nights into March. The location was perfect for our purposes...we wanted to stay west of the strip. There's a ton of construction going on around the hotel and on the premises so its a little tricky getting around but not bad. Nothing beats the atmosphere here - the decor is amazing! I will say the air filtration system does NOT work well. To me, a non smoker, the gaming floor smelt very strongly of smoke. It gave me a scratchy throat and made me uncomfortable enough that I didn't want to gamble there. Mornings were better, much less people around and perhaps the filter system could keep up? Food choices.... all restaurants are VERY expensive. Food court area is affordable but most of the employees working at the food court come across as miserable or are just down right rude. The room we had was beautiful and large. We were surprised at the size actually! The problem we had with the room is that it was missing some basic amenities. No fridge, no microwave, no coffee maker. Also, we made sure that we didn't have the DND sign up when we left to run around town the first day so we could look forward to coming back to a freshly cleaned room and towels. Nope, no turndown service. Thankfully we were only staying a few days so our towels weren't too bad and reusable. I can only imagine how bad the room smelt after we left due to food we couldn't refrigerate that we left behind in the trash. The bed was OK, supportive without being too soft or hard. Pillows are small but work if you fold them in two and tuck them under your neck/head. I don't know if I'd stay here again. The price was right for us at the time, but the lack of amenities and food choices will make us look elsewhere on our next visit to Vegas.

If you are staying here, the resort fee is a RIP-OFF. It's a catch all for the so-called amenities that you supposedly get. There are NO restaurants that give you a bang for your buck. The rooms are rooms, nothing else. DON"T play here as the machines are BRUTALLY TIGHT! They could save you time by having a soldier at each doorway to take your money!!! They even had little girls occupying the arena doing cheerleading. DISGUSTING. Casinos are for adults. Go to Orlando . In summation, stay at home and shovel the snow.

My daughter competed at Jamz and The Orleans hotel and casino is the venue where it was held so naturally I felt inclined to book my daughters’ stay from 2/18 to 2/22 here. Hind sight is 20/20 when thinking back on check-in; the agent at the desk as extremely rude and I was rushed through the check in process. I called back to ask about any Expedia rewards and was told that I had a generous $15 reward that could be used anywhere on property. That was not true. I used what I was lead to believe as my reward credit at the gift store and was told at checkout that the credit could only be used for food and beverage which leads me to my biggest disappointment with this hotel. When checking in on the girls I noticed that their bedding was not changed and the bed was still unmade at 9 pm. My daughter mentioned that their room had never once during her stay been cleaned nor the bed made or linens changed. Concerned, I brought this up to the manger on duty at the front desk- Val who seem extremely unconcerned and matter of factly told me that rooms in their establishment where only cleaned once every three days. I could not believe what I was hearing and technically the room should have received at best, at least 1 cleaning during her 4 day stay and refused any compensation. Disgusting and disappointing.

Pros: price, cleanliness, beautiful bowling alley, nice rooms with great views, very helpful front desk with easy check-in and out. When all was said and done, the price was exactly what we were quoted. I was impressed with that. Cons: Hotel is off the strip, and there is no shuttle service at all. To cross the highway cost 15 bucks and up by Uber or taxi. Very limited dining choices, especially at night. I saw people carrying pizza boxes and wondered where they got them. I found out later they were getting them from the bowling alley. We were there for Women's Boxing Hall of Fame induction ceremony. The Orleans hosts it every year. This was our first visit to Las Vegas. I recommend staying here, especially if you have, or rent a car.
