"Wonderful hotel with old Hollywood vibes"

Loved our stay here! The hotel has a very old Hollywood glam vibe that is such a nice respite from the chaos and touristy feeling of Hollywood Boulevard. It was our son's first time so we chose to stay in the area so he could have the whole Hollywood experience. Being able to come back to the hotel after being out all day was great. We had a 2 double bed room, which overlooked the side of the next building, so while the view was not great, it was incredibly quiet, which made up for no view. The room also had a sliding barn type door separating the entryway/bathroom/closet area from the main bedroom, which was great if you have different times you're getting up and don't want to disturb anyone else. Housekeeping was always around, making it easy to get extra towels or anything needed. The pool area is amazing, it's hard to believe you're right off a busy street. I wouldn't recommend their 25 Degrees restaurant. It didn't seem busy and service was still slow and not inexpensive. Thank you to whomever recommended skipping their $75 dollar day valet parking and parking in the garage directly across from the valet entrance. Just $30 dollars overnight and steps away. Attendants were there everytime we would drive out and the car was safe our entire trip. It overlooked Hollywood High's football field, which was fun to see! Also, there's an In N Out a 5 minute walk away for late night snacking!

Our stay at Hollywood Roosevelt was amazing, the room was excellent. Maddie at the front desk was very helpful, Roco the head valet was attentive and Bobby with security gave us a wealth of knowledge about the history of the building.

"Filthy and overpriced"

I chose the Hollywood Roosevelt for my family's vacation because the hotel is full of history and glamor. The pool also had good reviews. But unfortunately, the hotel's charm was outweighed by the filth and poor customer service, especially given the price. Here are some problems we experienced: . The light in the bathroom turned on in the middle of the night several times, on its own, awakening us while sleeping. . The shower door did not fully close, causing water to flood the bathroom floor. . The shower window had a lot of mold and was filthy (which is a public health issue) . The overall cleanliness was poor (e.g., hair, built up dust in corners). . The hallway carpet outside the rooms was also noticeably filthy, especially the corners near the elevators. . Our first night, it took us calling twice for extra towels. We waited for about an hour for them to be delivered. . At check-out, I was told there were no charges to my room. But a couple of days later, the hotel charged me nearly $200. I assume one of the charges was for parking. I emailed 2 different managers and left a voicemail for one asking for an invoice and to to discuss our experiences above, but I never got a call or email back. The receptionist waived our travel fees for one night (about $38) upon check out after I showed them photos. But I believe we should have had more fees waived or some other sort of compensation.

Wow wow wow! Beautiful history in this hotel!!! I was shown around by the incomparable Cody, who knew every nook and crany of this profoundly significant landmark. Besides its original character being maintained, the hotel offers an outdoor pool with full restaurant service, free yoga on Saturdays, several on site restaurants, live entertainment, massages, hair and makeup, you name it. The staff was so friendly and the service was impeccable. I can't wait to come back!!

I hate that I hated my room. I hate that I didn't enjoy a stay I was so looking forward to. The history of this place had me so excited and I was totally let down. I was excited for a poolside cabana room. But what I actually had was a view of a sea of people and loud thumping music. The bed in the room is 8" off the ground and the toilet looks and sounded like the toilet from your middle school locker room. And we waited HOURS for our room to be ready.
