"Best Hotel in New Orleans!"

This is a fantastic hotel. It begins with Check In, where the front desk is particularly helpful any time of day (or night). Specifically, if you work with John in the morning at the desk, your excellent stay will be guaranteed! The rooms are clean, spacious, with excellent decor (art deco). The common space is equally outstanding, with a great bar (on the first floor, and a rooftop bar with fantastic views of the City), and a great restaurant. Food is delicious and priced better than expected. Equally important, the location is perfect for whatever you're traveling to NoLa for. The convention center is an easy 10 minute walk, there are more and more boutique restaurants in the neighborhood with excellent food quality, you are both far away and close enough to walk to Bourbon Street if that is your thing, and, most important, it is steps away from the WWII Museum, which will take you a minimum of two days to explore sufficiently. I have stayed in a number of nicer hotels in New Orleans. This hotel beats them all, and not by a small amount. #28 in NoLa? No way, this is #1.

"Lovely hotel"

This a lovely hotel. It reminded us of upscale hotels in Europe. The common areas are very nice. Very attractive. The rooms are generally larger than what you would find in the normal room. Likewise for the bathrooms. It is very quiet. The coffee shop is attractive and good. It is across the street from the WWII museum. On the "-" side, there don't seem to be many restaurants in the area. We took Uber to the French Quarter. And, forget about the trolley. The trolley stop is a short walk from the hotel, but by the time the trolley reaches the stop near the hotel, the trolleys are just jammed. No room. Take an Uber.

Our family was very disappointed. Throughout our trip, only one of our beds was made and the bathroom was not cleaned. The door handle broke off and when we told the front desk, we were ignored and it was not fixed. They also got our breakfast order wrong.

@trudin2026 - contact davenport the management company! there is definitely something going on in that hotel. Zero cameras in hallway and although they can take the information off your hotel door key they will not release that information to you. Safe to say we were gaslit from security as well as GM. Sorry that they didn’t tighten access to rooms up after our stay in October 2025. For hotels I now bring a mini camera and I lock my suitcases. Bummer! I Also did a police report!

I have wanted to visit the WW2 museum in NOLA for some years and finally made the trip from the UK this January. Higgins Hotel is wonderful, bonus for me was it is part of the Hilton group so my Gold Hilton status gained me a room upgrade, thank you. Stunning decor , the 1940s theme is awesome, loved the hotel, room was excellent with convenient USB points for charging wonderful bath room and amenities. Food and service in all the bars and restaurants was excellent, Rosie's on the Roof being a 5 star recommendation for great views, good beer and food. Without a doubt one of the best hotels worldwide I have ever stayed in.
