All spacious apartments at The Fairmont Heritage Place Ghirardelli Square include a fireplace and a high-end entertainment system. All bedrooms are designed with an enclosed glass shower in the private bathroom. Exposed brick walls in all apartments offer natural soundproofing and a preserved element of the original Ghirardelli Square façade. An in-unit washer and dryer are tucked away in a closet for guest use.

Select apartments that feature bay views. Grocery shopping and chef services can be arranged before guests’ arrive or during their stay through the 24-hour concierge and butler. Room service from Palette, San Francisco Brewing Company, and McCormick & Kuleto's Seafood Restaurant is offered daily.

The Fairmont Heritage elevators open directly to Ghirardelli Ice Cream and Chocolate Shop, local San Francisco boutiques, and restaurants on Ghirardelli Square. All elevators and entrances are accessed securely by only guest key card access.

San Francisco Maritime National Museum and Fisherman’s Wharf is two minutes walk away. Rooms are right above the garbage area, which holds all the trash from all the bars, ice cream shops, restaurants-- all the daily trash from the entire Ghirardelli Square. In early mornings well before 9am, bottles are loudly broken and thrown into a vehicle next to the garbage dump area. The glass breaking and throwing also happens in the late evenings, sometimes well after midnight. Finally, and Loudly, garbage trucks come early, 2 or 3 am.

We always love staying at this property. Service, location and residence style setup, make it the ideal place to stay with friends and family. This time we were joined by high school friends who we had not spent time with in years. Being able to gather in the comfortable living room or out by the Alcatraz/Bay view terrace fire pits was truly memorable. What adds to the experience is the feeling that you are on the bay but with easy access to North Beach, Russian Hill and Marina neighborhoods. The staff not only remembered us from prior stays but went out of their way to make us feel welcomed and valued.

I can’t say enough about this property. From the moment we were greeted at the front door, to the excellent reception, we felt like we found our forever SF home. Originally I thought it was a wharf hotel and I chose it based on our activities. Now I call this Russian Hill or Ghirardelli Square because unfortunately the wharf has gotten pretty trashy. The location is perfect for any activity. Besides location, the hotel was a hip residence complete with gas cooktop, warming drawer, sub zero fridge drawers. 2 bedroom, 2 1/2 baths, luxury products, etc. We enjoyed having a living room to spend time together in the evenings and my son was able to work in the day. The outside area was beautiful overlooking the Bay. Walking distance to everything or a short WAYMO ride. The area dining was perfect

We loved our stay in a 2 bedroom apartment and wish we’d stayed longer. The staff were friendly and welcoming and we received a lovely gift of wine and flowers for our wedding anniversary which we celebrated during our stay. The hotel was well located to Fisherman’s Wharf, hop on hop off bus, cable cars, Lombard st, Chinatown and North Beach. We enjoyed the completely wine and cheese hour on a Monday afternoon. Highly recommend!

Excellent experience! The concierge (Jean Pirenne) made this a great week for us. He recommended tours and wineries, set reservations and even used our card to pay. They prestocked our fridge so we were all set. Room had a French press, espresso maker and a coffee pot! TV is set to login with Netflix and Prime. Walking distance to Pier 39 Fisherman Wharf and ferry tours. Sausalito just 20min drive; Napa/Sonoma just over an hour. Valet had car ready with just minutes notice. Note the weather can be up to 20-30degrees warmer in Napa than the windy coast.
