Star Island Resort and Club is located approximately four (4) miles from Walt Disney World Resort and is close to all popular Orlando theme parks, shopping malls, and a variety of dining and entertainment options. This Mediterranean-style resort and spa features mini suites to three-bedroom deluxe villas that are designed for your ultimate comfort. The unique suites and villas can accommodate from 4 to 8 people and include a full kitchen or kitchenette.

Star Island Resort and Club provides a wide range of recreational activities, including nine tennis courts, a golf driving range, a putting green, a sandy beach on Lake Cecile, water sports, volleyball and basketball courts, a picnic area, and swimming in our 2 zero-entry outdoor pools. Guests can work out in our extensive fitness center with cardiovascular equipment, free weights, steam rooms, saunas, and spa tubs. Organized children’s activities include arts and crafts, hula-hoop contests, and ice cream socials (fees may apply).

Take time to relax in the full-service Celebrity Spa (surcharge), providing manicures, pedicures, massage therapy, body treatments, and full salon services. For your enjoyment, cocktails and light fare are served at a poolside bar. Complimentary wireless internet access is available in all suites/villas. On-site complimentary parking is available as well.

  • Check-in requirements: Guests must provide a $200 security/incidental credit card hold deposit. This is a credit card hold. This deposit is for charging incidental items to your room account. (If you choose to use a bank debit/credit card that is attached to a checking account, please be aware that a hold will be placed on the account for the anticipated dollar amount of the stay, including incidentals, through your date of departure. Said funds will not be released for 72 business hours from the date of departure or longer at the discretion of your bank. This deposit may be applied towards your final payment.

Room was filthy dirty on arrival. Walking from one room to the next, feet were black. The air conditioner didn’t work and when they so called came and fixed it, it still didn’t work. Temperature was 72+ degrees everyday. There were exposed wires in the room, which is most likely why it wouldn’t work. Items were not brought to the room when asked. The shower floor was super slick and we about fell every time we got in the shower. There was not enough parking, we had to park 1-2 buildings down. I typically do not write reviews but this place was horrible and I do not recommend anyone staying here. If I could give it a 0 star I would.

First time ever being disappointed at a RCI resort. Units where outdated. Parking was terrible. Had to call the Front Desk because the unit above was running back and forth and dragging chairs at 6:30am and would go all day.

This resort is substandard. The units are very dated and the furniture (i.e. chairs/couches) you won't feel comfortable sitting on. I'm being truthful, they have that sticky/dirty feel and look. We bought an egg carton and sheet from Target to cover the pull-out mattress, and I slept on TOP of the covers in the bedroom wrapped in my blanket (also bought from Target) and a hoodie over my head. (TRUE story!) We had (2) geckos in the bedroom, and it took us 2 nights to get them both out, who knows where they defecated. Found one on the side of my bed and the other under the bathroom sink. Both would scurry when we tried to lure them out. The bathroom wall had, what looked like, urine drops on it (photos attached to review). My balcony "view' was of ac/heat units. Nothing like the photos. It was the room you would expect when you book through hotels.com. (I booked direct on the "resort" website. Killed spiders near the laundry. The kicker was the adjoining room literally is a paper thin door an if your neighbor turns on their foyer light at 4:00 a.m. it illuminates your unit. No sound barrier - completely disturbed by a 4:00 a.m. family checking in (or coming in from a party) with laughter, suitcases. furniture, etc....and I am guessing they had no idea they were disturbing us to the level they were. There should be some sense of sound protection from the adjoining unit, there is NOT. Booked a 4 park /one day Hopper pass with the intention of using the paid shuttle service so we didn't have to worry about parking a car at the first park and finishing our day at the last park only to find out, there is NO shuttle despite the following: Greeting from Star Island Resort, We do not offer complimentary shuttle service; however you can make an appointment 1 hour in advance for shuttle service with our concierge; their number is 407-997-8000 X 5605. Current Rates: $12.00 per person each roundtrip to Disney theme parks $13.00 per person roundtrip to Sea world $16.00 per person roundtrip to Universal FREE to Lake Buena Vista Factory Outlet on 535 This caused a huge kink in the hopper plan. The good side, the folks at the pool (most of them appeared to be timeshare owners) were very kind and pleasant to be around. Front desk staff was also pleasant.

We just stayed with you for the fifith time. We were worried that things wouldn’t be the same with Wyndham pulling out. It is still fantastic!! The 1 Bedroom Deluxe Unit is Huge, with a beautiful large deck. The pool is amazing, we love how quiet the property is, even tho the parking lot was jammed packed on the weekend. We feel very safe there! Thank you Star Island, we’ll see you again next year♥️

What is the minimum age required for check-in?

The reservation holder must be at least 21 years of age to check-in at this property. A valid, matching, government-issued ID and a credit card are required at check in.

Does Star Island Resort & Club charge a resort fee?

There is a daily resort fee of $15 per unit per day plus tax ($17.02). It includes complimentary wireless internet access, parking, use of the fitness center, tennis, basketball, miniature golf, putting green, driving range (free 8:30Am to 9:30AM), men's & women's locker rooms with saunas and private Jacuzzi, and sand volleyball. Resort Fee is taxed at 13.5%. All fees mentioned are subject to change without prior notice, and applicable taxes.

Does Star Island Resort & Club have a restaurant? A lounge? Café? Gift Shop?

There is not a full-fledged restaurant on-site. However, there is a snack shack located on-site, where guests can purchase you can purchase hamburgers, sandwiches, subs, chicken wings, chicken tenders, egg rolls, fries, salads, bagels with cream cheese, muffins, Danish, fresh fruit, ice cream, coffee, tea, etc. The snack shack hours are 8:00 am – 11:00 pm daily. There are 2 pool bars - one downstairs open from 11:00 am – 4:00 pm and one upstairs that is open at 4:00 pm. TGI Fridays is within walking distance and sits in front of the resort.

Do you charge for cribs or rollaways at Star Island Resort?

There is no charge for cribs, however, a rollaway bed is $10.00 per day. Fees are subject to change and applicable taxes.

What are the pool hours at Star Island Resort?

The pools are open from 7:00 am – 11:00 pm. Hours of operation are subject to change and weather conditions.

Is late check-in available at Star Island Resort?

All reservations are guaranteed so the guest may check-in any time after 4:00 pm. If you arrive before 4:00 pm and the room is available, the resort may allow check-in.

Does Star Island Resort & Club have shuttles to the theme parks or shopping malls?

The resort does not offer shuttle services to the theme parks or shopping malls. A concierge desk will be able to help you arrange your transportation. Fees apply.

Can guests receive packages while at Star Island Resort?

Yes, packages for guests can be sent to the resort. There is a handling fee of $3.00 for each package received by the resort. If a package is delivered during your stay, include the guest's name and reservation number. Be sure to call the hotel directly to obtain your hotel reservation number. Upon arrival, please call Ext. 6000 to verify your package has arrived and make arrangements for delivery. *Due to space limitations, the resort does not accept packages more than two weeks before arrival.
