My stay was an overnight stay. I was attending an event at the resort, so it only made sense to stay at th resort. I looked on their webpage carefully before picking a room to my liking. I picked a high floor king, but when i got there everything was different. The room was missing a table, chair, night stands, and the lighting was deem(to lamps on the wall). To make it so bad they charged an $80.00 resort fee. They should have given me my resort fee back when I checked out. The rooms are so outdated. The carpets in the hallway had stains. This place is a mess and I will not be staying here if I have a choice. I was highly disappointed in the accommodations. They did have the indoor waterpark , so I assume that's why all the parents were there with their children.

Horrible. Lack of security anyone can ride the elevators up to rooms. Woke up 3:30am to screaming fight no one ever came. Slamming doors and kids running halls late at night. Dated rooms, dirty chicken wings on carpet in hallway. So disappointed. Would not bring my children here ☹️

My stay at the Showboat Resort was unfortunately disappointing from the moment we arrived. Parking is twenty five dollars per day, which felt excessive considering what followed. After parking, we had a long walk with all of our bags just to reach the check in desk. Once we were checked in, the walk to the elevators was even longer, and the wait for an elevator was frustrating. It often felt like the elevators were not working properly or there were simply too many people waiting for the same area. When we finally got to our room, it felt like stepping back into the nineteen sixties. The carpet, curtains, lamps, and bed sheets were very outdated. You can hear everything in the hallways, including people flushing their toilets, talking loudly, and sometimes even yelling. The room also did not include a microwave, and for the price they charge, the least they can do is include one. I went to get ice from the ice machine and it did not work. We visited the waterpark hoping the water would be warm, especially for the kids, but it was surprisingly cold. This was one of the biggest letdowns of the trip. I truly wish I had read more reviews before booking. I paid a little over one thousand dollars for the room and waterpark for three days and two nights. This did not include parking, food, or drinks purchased during our stay. For that price, I expected a much better experience. Overall, I would not stay here again. I believe the resort needs significant updates and improvements to match the cost of staying there.

"Water Park awesome but stay elsewhere"

Unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing and fell well below acceptable hospitality standards, especially for a family-oriented property. To begin, the condition of our room was unacceptable. The television did not work, the room phone was visibly dirty, and the closet door was broken. In addition to that it looked as if our bathtub had not been properly cleaned. These issues alone made the stay uncomfortable, but the most concerning problem was the excessive noise during the night. The conjoining room next door to us had at least 8 people in it and I had to call the front desk TWICE at 4am. The noise woke my children up. Security came once but never followed up and they continued to be loud. Additionally, while the water park itself was acceptable, however, several of the toilets inside the waterpark area were not functioning properly. Guests were unable to flush waste, resulting in a strong and unpleasant odor throughout the area. This raised serious concerns regarding cleanliness and sanitation. Another major disappointment involved the arcade. I loaded approximately $100 worth of points per child (two children) onto game cards, only to discover that nearly half of the games were broken or out of service. This was extremely upsetting for my children and made the expense feel like a complete waste.

"Not so showy Showboat Hotel"

Hotel is very dated. Room smelled like stale cigarettes. Beds were awful. Mattresses were old , springs must have been broken, bed frame on one bed was broken. Carpeting old and dirty. Chairs and curtains stained. NO IN ROOM SAFES! Couldn’t see out windows as they were so dirty on the outside. No real restaurant to eat at in hotel. Just fast food. No info in rooms regarding amenities or hotel info. Prior to visit I called the hotel 3 times because website is not clear with info and I was disconnected all 3 times. Charged $25 to park in garage as paying hotel guest! Hotel is awful. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.
