Showboat Hotel Atlantic City in Atlantic City, NJ

This place was horrible. I don’t even know where to begin. So first when you get there; you have to pay $25 a day for parking. Which is like okay whatever fine! But then we check in; I already booked online and then they wanted a ridiculous deposit/resort fees per night per person which I guess is the typical idk (but the fees ended up costing more than my entire stay in total. Anyways; then we get to the room. The elevators do not work. Literally like 2 worked. And the other ones had floor level buttons that don’t work so you just don’t get anywhere. We get to our floor and it smells. The carpets in the hall are so gross and stained. Everything was just dirty. The walls are paper thin! You can hear the people in the room next you breathing. I’m not even joking. So for 3 days I got NO SLEEP. It was actually the worst sleep I ever got at a hotel. It’s sooooo loud no matter the time of day or night. The bed was so hard and there was no blankets and sheets!!!! When I asked housekeeping they said go to the front desk. I go there and the girl at the front desk like gets annoyed that I’m asking her for sheets and a blanket so basically she said “we have nothing idk why they’d tell you to come to the front desk”. Okay fine. So we slept with the blanket that I luckily had in the car! But let me not forget the most important part….the sheets they ended up sending the 2nd day of my stay….NOT CLEAN!!!!! The staff at the front desk could care less about accommodations or trying to help. So basically the entire stay was horrible. Then let’s get back to the parking….they kept charging my card even when I had already checked out. This place was a total nightmare and honestly I should’ve known better because all the reviews stated bad things. I will NOT be returning here and I do NOT recommend anyone to stay here. At all!!! I wish I could get a refund due to how disgusting & how horrible my stay was! I have stayed at almost every resort in Atlantic City and I was not expecting it to be THIS bad! Typically management would try to make the experience a little less crappy but at this hotel THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR GUESTS!

It was aweful the room smelled like mold my Husband kept sneezing we went there for our 36 th Anniversary the sofa bed didn’t have a sheet the the mattress had dried blood on it and dried boogers. I lost my keys in the room when I got home I live an hour and1/2 away I called for the last 12 hours trieing to reach the front desk no one answered in the twelve hours I was trieing to call I will never go there again it’s sad because that’s the hotel we would come too

Loved my stay at Showboat. The room was clean, spacious. The view was amazing! Staff was friendly. There is so much to do with kids throughout the hotel!

Hubby and I were celebrating our 42nd Wedding Anniversary.......no one told us that there was NO CASINO, NO RESTAURANTS, and on top of the VERY Expensive Room Rate, we also had to pay $25 Per Night for Parking........it was a total rip off!!!!

The of the view that we had of ocean, boardwalk, and pier from the 1 bedroom suite was *amazing* but from what I’ve come to understand, was probably a nicer part of the hotel than most other rooms. It appeared to have been recently renovated, and the amenities were quite nice. The balcony is fantastic and there aren’t many properties on the boardwalk that can offer this kind of experience. If you are a family this place is great because of the beach access and family friendly activities on-site. However, when I checked in, the clerk advised me that I overpaid by a shocking amount due to my booking with a third-party vendor… who I shall not name in this review. If you want to save money staying at the Showboat, book directly through them.
