"The owner’s photos are misleading"

Update: The manager is trying to convince me that this is not dirt but scratches. However, these so-called ‘scratches’ come off when I clean them, which clearly proves that this is dirt, not permanent damage. We arrived at the hotel after the receptionist had already left. The only person present was a security guard. The room was dirty, including a dirty bathroom and a very dirty kitchen. In the bathroom, three light bulbs were unscrewed. The shower was not working (room no. 111). There was an unpleasant odor and the carpets were dirty. The following day, we requested that the room be cleaned and the shower repaired. Nothing was done, and we returned to the room around 7:00 PM to find that the issues had not been addressed. We had to prepare dinner in a dirty kitchen. We were offered another cleaning. The staff wanted to clean the kitchen in the evening, at the same time we were trying to prepare dinner. The front desk staff were very rude. They were polite only until I mentioned the defects and poor condition of the room.

Roomy 2 bdrm 2 bath suite. Living room Furniture could use an upgrade as well as patio loungers/no cushions. Staff were wonderful and very helpful. Def recommend.

We stayed here for 5 nights in August/September. Good parts: Lovely big space. Huge bed. Clean bathroom. Bad parts: Ants!! - We stayed in room 961. There were bad ants in the kitchen. We couldn't put anything on the counter tops. A tiny bit of food in the sink and a huge trail of ants appear. We did report it but it was still an issue. Parking - We couldn't get any parking outside our room and often had to park at reception. We stayed over labour day weekend which might have been the reason. It was frustrating not being able to park outside with a young child.

My brother and I stayed at Riviera Oaks Resort and Racquet club from April 24, 2025 - May 15 2025. The front desk employees, Ana and Kelly were very helpful whenever I called to request help with the microwave, TV and needed paper goods. They sent someone right over to our room to help. I was particularly impressed with Octavio (maintenance). I am disabled and one day I had returned from the grocery store and he carried my bags to my room for me! I was so grateful as my brother was not there to help me. He has a bright smile and makes you feel happy! I would highly recommend Riviera Oaks as your place to stay, especially if you are staying longer than a few days. Enjoyable experience, Elise La Salle
