We stayed for three days, and I was very displeased with the overall cleanliness of the hotel. The amenities were sad. I am not a princess, I am a camper. I love sleeping in a tent! Still I was hoping for a splurging feel, like I was really treating myself and my family. I left disappointed.

My stay at your hotel was very disappointing. The sofa and carpet in my room were dirty, and the AC was not working properly. When I asked to change rooms, the staff refused.Additionally, the pool was dirty, with hair floating in it, and the rooms did not look like the pictures shown in the app. I wanted to bring these concerns to your attention so they can be addressed for future guests.

This is not a resort-type hotel, though it is in a convenient tourist location. You only have to cross the street to get to the Riverwalk, but other locations in town will require 10 to 15 minute walks or taking an Uber. Valet parking is available and there’s a public parking next to the hotel, but you have to renew every 24 hours. Checking in was easy and the friendly staff provided Wi-Fi information… The Wi-Fi works very well. IMHO the pictures on the website are somewhat misleading, but the price is reasonable and the beds comfortable enough. The room has a one cup coffeemaker and a strangely located small refrigerator. The mini bar consists of half bottles of liquor and wine placed in a straw basket. You’d have to open a bottle if you wanted to pour yourself a single drink. No microwave is available. Complementary toiletries are absent, but body wash, shampoo and conditioner are in containers mostly mounted on the shower walls. The pool is small (and a bit murky). There is no convenience store or snack bar like you find in some hotels, but there is a coffee bar and a restaurant. The restaurant, The Gavel, is structurally attached to the hotel, but you cannot charge food and drink to your room. Like the hotel, the restaurant is quite basic, but the food is well-prepared. There is a full bar, tended by vivacious women. For bar food, don’t miss the Italian sausage stuffed giant portobello mushroom covered with mozzarella – – it is unique and delicious. Also unique is waitstaff person Mikayla who brightens the place with her positive, friendly attitude and exceptional service. Aside from the need for redecorating and upgrading, the Riverwalk Plaza Hotel is okay when you plan to spend most of your time out and about.
