"Ripped Off"

The hotel was ok and the room was ok. Not being able to get into contact with anyone without going through an AI bot is annoying. They offered me a comped rate (only having to pay the resort fee) and sent me a confirmation with that comped rate. They then charged me a room rate anyway in addition to the resort fee. A person would have been able to solve this easily. Unfortunately the check in and check out was at a kiosk and when I tried to get in touch with someone to fix it I just get stuck with the AI bot.

"Unacceptable Stay Due to Cleanliness and Poor Customer Service"
TripAdvisor user rating 1.0 out of 5
Reviewed January 19, 2026 NEW
Our stay at the Rio Hotel & Casino was extremely disappointing. We found a bug in our bed, which is unacceptable by any standard. When we reported it, customer service was horrible and showed little concern for the situation. Instead of resolving the issue properly, we were told there were no other rooms available, leaving us feeling stuck and dismissed. I wouldn’t leave till they found us a room. The female finally did and said she would have to kick someone else out who hadn’t checked in yet. I had to move my family of 4 at 9pm to another room, they didn’t offer to have someone help us move. I had to ask for a bell guy. When we spoke with the manager, Giles, he seemed not concerned at all and did nothing meaningful to address our complaints. I went to the regular checking counter and a younger gentleman offered me a $100 room credit. We are Hyatt members and will never return. Everything from the check-in at the VIP counter to our departure was horrible. I wish to never remember that stay! To make matters worse, the WiFi was unavailable for our entire stay, which was never resolved or explained. Also if you have Verizon wireless your phone service will not work in your room. Between the cleanliness issue, lack of working WiFi, and poor customer service, this was one of the worst hotel experiences we’ve had. We will not be returning and would caution others to think twice before booking here.
