My husband and I were just in Napa for a wedding and stayed at this hotel for the weekend. Overall we were very pleased. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful when we checked in. We were in a garden view room, which was quiet and comfortable. Yes, the rooms are on the more dated side, as others have said in reviews. But they felt pretty on par for rooms at the standard Marriott brand hotels (regarding some of the other reviews, I think it’s important to remember that this is just one line within the broader Marriott Bonvoy umbrella). The room was very clean and the bed was really comfortable. The hotel grounds were nice and well maintained. We spent a couple hours at the pool, which is nicely designed and relaxing. My one complaint is that the lighting in the rooms isn’t great, particularly in the bathrooms. It was really hard to do makeup while getting ready for a wedding. This could use improvement. Outside of that, we felt like we got what we’d expect from a Marriott line property and would stay here again. Also, I just want to commend the hotel GM for taking the time to respond so thoroughly and attentively to each Trip Advisor review. I write a lot of reviews and this is not the norm.

Run down, dirty Marriott. Extremely rude staff on the front desk. Noisy air conditioning in rooms. Dirty bed sheets and towels. If staying in the Napa area, AVOID THIS HOTEL as there are much nicer hotels in better locations. If you are a Marriott regular, then this one will definitely disappoint as it falls far bellow the usual good standards. Director of Operations does not answer calls or respond to voicemails after requesting we reach out to him directly regarding the issues we had. The incidentals deposit which was held by the hotel has still not been given back. The hotel has since taken money from my account without authorisation, explanation or providing a receipt for the transaction.

The bed was super comfortable and room was just perfect for our four nights. There was a small refrigerator and I had a microwave oven available. The conference facilities and catering were very good. One of the concierge staff (very friendly and helpful young man) made our stay extra special with dining, sightseeing and local history tips. The amenities of nightly wine hour, an hour of complimentary e-bike, and evening s’mores made our stay enjoyable. The hotel is a 10 minute drive from downtown Napa and Oxbow market. It is a 10 minute drive to Yountville, a 20 minute drive to St Helen, and a 40 minute drive to Calistoga. There is a nearby shopping center with a Whole Foods and Trader Joe’s. I didn’t use the gym or swimming pool and I didn’t eat at the on site restaurant.

I had high hopes for this hotel, but unfortunately my experience has been disappointing. I am currently staying here until Sunday with a group of six, across three rooms When we arrived last night, at first the room seemed fine. However, once we closed the curtains, we found a large spider with a web. Being from Puerto Rico, this didn’t bother us too much, so we just closed the curtains and moved on. Later, when we used the shower, we noticed the handheld shower head was covered in black mold, clearly not cleaned for a long time. We went ahead and showered since it was already late and went to bed. Sleeping was another challenge—the air conditioner is old and only works on “auto.” Every time it shut off and turned back on, it made a very loud noise that kept us from sleeping well. The next morning, I reported these issues to the front desk, showed them my photos, and the staff member said they would take care of it. Later, I spoke with my group and found out the other two rooms also had problems: one of them killed a large cockroach in their room last night, and the other had the same issue with the noisy air conditioning that disturbed their sleep. What really disappointed me is that when we returned to our room, none of the issues we reported had been addressed. This is my third time visiting Napa, but my first time at this hotel; and definitely my last. I normally don’t like to leave negative reviews, but I feel it’s important to let others know so they can compare carefully before booking.

We had a great experience at this Marriott property it is very conveniently located in Napa and is a short uber away from downtown or any of the wineries. The amenities including the large outdoor space was perfect and a great place to meet or bring friends for happy hour. The standout part of this property is the staff, Blossom the manager was incredibly kind and thoughtful to my wife and I. Eva and Josh were also incredibly helpful. We'll be back anytime we are in Napa.
