Stayed at the Moxy this weekend. Wanted to try this Hotel. Normally like staying at The One or Soho Beach House. Was not really impressed at all. Rooms way to small and Miami had bad storms and the lobby was almost flooded. Not a great experience at all. Was hoping it would have been better.

Do not recommend. Good location and decent hotel but horrible service experience. Arrived after a delayed flight to get my first ever room “downgrade”. Paid $330 and got offered a dorm room with the tiniest bunk beds. There are lots of hotels in Miami. Try elsewhere. I eventually got a decent sized room but could have avoided the trauma.

We had a pool view room. There was LOUD DJ club music constantly from the pool area noon to 11:00 pm. It all starts sounding the same with the same beat and tempo. No gaps. Penetrated my JBL N/C earbuds at full volume IN ROOM. Impossible to sleep and difficult to work or watch TV. Vibrations in walls and distorted sound through bathroom vent. Hotel lobby has separate loud DJ club music in the afternoon and evening. Had to shout at the desk staff who wore ear protection. Room was small and didn't have much storage space, BUT the hotel did provide us with a mini fridge on request.

Great compact rooms with good size bathroom. Large comfy bed and TV I could stream my apps through. No Kettle in the room but free coffee in Lobby. I picked the wettest week on record but the manager provided me with a heater and extra blankets. I visited in January but returned again in February when the weather had improved. I was able to use the great outside pool and enjoy a free cocktail. Lobby bar was popular and club situated next door for party goers. Definitely a hotel catering to a younger crowd. Great assistance from front office manager Kevin, always happy to help with a smile. Did not take photos of the rooms because they are accurately depicted on the Marriott website. Personally speaking I would prefer better hanging space, a kettle to make my own coffee/tea and a mini fridge to keep water cold and drinks fresh. I know space is at a premium but I think the room could be configured better, perhaps the space under in the bathroom utilised more, eg towel storage above the sink / toilet and install a fridge / kettle under the sink.
