Koloa Landing Resort at Poipu, Autograph Collection by Marriott in Koloa, HI

Upon arrival we were met with beautiful leis and warm aloha. The front desk kindly upgraded our room due to our valued Bonvoy status and from there everything was top notch, service, drinks etc. Insider tip; if you like Mai Tai’s request the house one, it’s a bit stronger. The pool area was amazing and we appreciated the ability to wash our clothes in the room! Five star all the way! Good job guys.

Room was clean and the staff helpful and friendly. We had booked a room with side ocean view. We did have a view and a balcony. However, we thought we had a room with a washer and dryer. We did not. If you do not book a room with a washer and dryer be advised there is no laundry on the property. The closest laundromat is about 20 minutes away in Waimea. The view from our room was somewhat diminished because of the power lines and the houses obstructed the view. Enjoy your morning coffee on the balcony because of the room facing west the evening sun is extremely hot. We went to several local markets and purchased items such as coffee, eggs, and etc since we had a semi stocked kitchenette. Breakfast at the onsight restaurant is at least $50 for two people and not very good. Parking was free. We booked this hotel through Costco.

This is an amazing hotel property , it full of lush and beautiful , spead out so you never feel crowded. The staff is so friendly and accommodating. They make you feel welcomed for sure! I hesitated booking at first but it was the best decision ever! We had the best week here! can't wait to return.

10's across the board. Spectacular service, room assignment, property, pool, food. Ambassador Elite status. Booked a 1 bedroom for 4 days. Upgraded to a 2 bedroom with a fantastic pool/resort view. Provided an extra welcome gift of various cookies/breads/desserts. Room feels luxurious (although the TV in the living area is too small for the space). Pool was warm and enjoyable. Nights on the balcony were relaxing with music from the Holoholo grill drifting across the complex. Overall just a fantastic stay at a fantastic resort that has everything dialed in. Our 2nd trip here with spot on service and there will be more.

In July 2023, my then-boyfriend and I had a wonderful stay at Koloa Landing to celebrate his PhD graduation. We were delighted to return to Koloa Landing for four nights in September 2025--this time for our honeymoon! Our second stay was just as amazing as our first. After a long travel day, it was a treat to have a lei greeting upon arrival. I booked a deluxe studio, but we were upgraded to a two-bedroom villa because of my Marriott Bonvoy platinum status. Our villa was in Building 1, and it was clean and spacious (just as we expected from our first visit). The villa had an excellent view of the resort grounds and pool, and we could see the ocean in the background. In addition to the standard welcome gift (tote bag, banana bread, chocolate-covered macadamia nuts), we also received sparkling wine and a couple of other treats for our honeymoon. During our first stay in 2023, we didn't get to spend much time at Koloa Landing because we packed in a lot of activities on the island (Waimea Canyon, Na Pali cruise, beaches on the North Shore, etc.). This time, we took a more relaxed pace, and so we got to enjoy more of the resort's offerings. This included a lot more time at the main pool--and, of course, many trips down the big waterslide. Although we didn't cook, we were grateful for the kitchen in our villa to store and heat up leftovers. We also appreciated the in-unit washer and dryer, especially after swimming and hiking. Normally, I don't care much for decks or patios--I'm an indoor person at heart--but we spent a lot of time on our villa's lanai. It was a marvelous spot to have breakfast, soak up the vibes, and stargaze. Every time my husband and I were sitting on the lanai, we talked about how we couldn't believe we had the good fortune of returning to one of our favorite places. Our visit was in mid-September, and so there weren't many school-aged kids around. We saw quite a few babies and toddlers, but we recognized this would be likely with Koloa Landing being a family-friendly resort. If you're looking for a romantic, adults-only setting, then another resort would probably be a better fit. That said, we thought mid-September was a good time to avoid peak crowds, and we loved our stay. We thought Koloa Landing struck a great balance of being casual, relaxed, and welcoming. We could be ourselves (we're not into overly formal environments), but it still felt like a special getaway. I'm not sure how the lagoon "family" pool is during the summer or school breaks, but I found it to be peaceful and relaxing--a lot quieter than the main pool. (I enjoyed the lagoon pool more than the serenity pool, which is unheated.) I also got a lot of entertainment value from watching other guests go down the waterslide at the main pool; it was almost exclusively adults who went down the waterslide! We participated in three of the resort's activities: s'mores, a HIIT class, and a ukulele lesson. Registering for these activities was a smooth process, and all of them were well organized and fun. I thought they were a worthwhile use of the resort fee. Koloa Landing is less than a 10-minute walk to the Shops at Kukui'ula, and so we walked to Eating House 1849 and Merriman's for dinner reservations. We also took advantage of a $15/person food and beverage credit (thanks to Marriott status) by getting breakfast at the Holoholo Grill and the resort's marketplace. Kauai has become such a special place for my husband and me, and we hope to visit the island many more times in the future. When we return to Kauai, we'll certainly stay at Koloa Landing again for more unforgettable memories!
