"Would give 0 stars if possible for unit 1103 Brighton. Smoke-filled, dirty, and in disrepair. Oceanview-Beautiful!"
TripAdvisor user rating 1 out of 5
Reviewed August 17, 2025 NEW
We stayed in Unit 1103 Brighton from August 2025, and was very disappointed. The suite smelled of smoke, the carpet and furniture was stained and damaged, and the king bedroom’s mattress was completely worn down. The balcony furniture was rusted and broken to the point that it was unclear whether the chairs were covered in mold or dirt. While the beach view was beautiful and the noise level was pleasant, these positives did not make up for the poor condition of the unit. Management only refunded resort fees despite our documented photos and video. This unit needs deep cleaning, a mattress replacement, and major repairs before being rented again. I truly hope Hilton management addresses these issues so future families can enjoy their stay without these problems. We chose not to address these concerns at the beginning of our stay because we had several reservations and dinner plans with our family after the long check-in, wanting our children to still enjoy their vacation. Thankfully, we were able to enjoy attractions like Broadway at the Beach and Tanger Outlets despite the issues with the suite.

"Good experience with resort and condo in south hampton tower"

We have a very stay. One issue was with the AC in the condo. it was 74 degrees inside when we got there (which is fine) and we set the thermostat to 65. Once, for just a couple of hours, the temperature went down to 68. Most of the time it was 70 or 71 degrees. The other issue was went looking for an indoor pool due to rain we found out that only people in the north hampton tower can used the indoor pool that is in the north hampton pool. we then went to the indoor pool in the fitness center and to my surprise they closed it shortly after we got there due to lightning. Also, for a place that is no pets for owners or people staying in the condos there were a lot of dogs in the building/room. Pictures attached to this review are for unit 607 in the south hampton tower which was a two bedroom, two bathroom condo. The other nice thing related to other places on the ocean in myrtle beach is the parking. They mostly have lot parking instead of parking structure parking which I like.

We just had a family reunion at the Embassy Suites/Kingston condos. I give it 2 stars ONLY because of the pool, cabanas, beach area. Problems started back in September when I booked 9 rooms with HHonors reservations. I was told: no deposit required; Embassy Suites amenities included. The next day I have a $3300 charge on my card and then find out the condos/villas do not qualify for the Embassy breakfast/evening reception. So initially I am lied to. Then we arrive. I was in the Brighton Towers condos. When advertised as a condo, one would assume simply things like utensils, etc be included. Nothing was there. No daily service. I asked what to do about used towels and was told to just leave them on the bathroom floor so 4 days of towels piled up. Members of my family {my sons and their families} were booked in 2 bedroom villas. Both experienced cockroaches in their units; as well as extremely dirty conditions. My son took pics of the shower drain that was loaded with hair and hadn't been touched in a while. He took the pics to the front desk and the staff there claimed it was horrible conditions. These are supposed to be owned villas so the owners are paying for services that are not being provided. The units were both very dated. The outside patios were peeling paint; had patio doors that would not open; and in general just in poor shape. I am a Marriott lifetime Titanium member and realized we should have booked at the nearby Marriott resort. Will not return to this complex and certainly will not recommend to anyone. Especially after being told at the front desk that the condos/villas had all been renovated.

"Brighton Condo 1908 - Pathetic"
TripAdvisor user rating 1 out of 5
Reviewed July 25, 2025 NEW
I just returned home from a 7-night stay at the Kingston Plantation Resort, in Myrtle Beach.  We were there for my 12-year-old son's Ripken Baseball Tournament and have visited Myrtle Beach on many occasions.  We stayed in the Brighton Tower, room 1908.   I am writing this email to describe and visually show you the conditions of condo unit 1908.  Attached you will find photos that we took of the unit.  Needless to say, we were not happy with our stay in this room.  Upon arrival on Saturday, July 12th we were told our room would be ready by 4PM.  I was also asked on a few occasions, if I wanted to pay extra to get into the room early - which I declined.  We were not able to get into our room until after 5PM that day - which is not what is stated on your check in/check out schedule.   When we were permitted to check in, I was appalled at the condition of the condo. The condo itself was filled with a woodsy, musty, moldy smell.  The decor was from that of the 1980's.  Appliances were filthy - with no kitchen utensils inside the condo.  The outside of the kitchen had some sort of liquid splattering on the wall.  It was not a usable kitchen that we thought we were getting as a family of 4.   The bathrooms were filled with black mold on the ceilings, shower doors, tubs, and tile.  The bathrooms also had a moldy smell to them.  I am fairly certain that specific types of black mold can produce health risks - especially for people with auto immune issues, which my wife has.   The HVAC vents were also filled with mold, dust, and who knows what else.  You'll also find these in the photos I've attached.   At times it sounded like the floor above us was running a shop vac of some sort.   The bedding and beds were gross and the floors were also filthy - so much so that my entire family walked around in flip flops or socks the entire week.   Not everyone from our baseball team had THIS EXPERIENCE!!!  Others had more updated condos that seemed cleaner and more modern.  As a consumer, how can you charge me the same for my stay in a condo that I wouldn't make my dog stay in?  We paid over 3,000 dollars for this unit.  It was disgusting from top to bottom and it's a complete embarrassment you would rent this to potential renters.   I wish I had known what I was getting PRIOR TO MY STAY.  I would have never rented this room.   What you are charging for this unit is a complete joke.  What you are giving to travelers who rent this condo unit is a complete joke. You're giving them a dirty, filthy, smelly, outdated unit that is literally falling apart.  Take a good look at the photos I've attached.

"Look before you book! Unacceptable accommodation. Grossly inconsistent."
TripAdvisor user rating 1 out of 5

Ick factor = 10 out of 10 Recommend NOT to book room 305 @ Arrowhead Lodge. I recently stayed at the Arrowhead Court Lodge @ Kingston Plantation. I stayed in a 2 BR condo #305. I am having a hard time finding the words to describe how disgusting this place was. First, the building itself is like a dirty relic from the 1970s. The outdoor hallways are covered in a carpet material that is moldy and disgusting and perpetually wet. The "lobby" area and elevator and stairwells are run down, dirty, and actually a bit scary as well. My condo had rugs and carpets that were so dirty, there was no way to tell what colors they were supposed to be. I used flip flops and did not let my foot touch any floors in that place and tossed them when I got home. The bedding was gross, smelly, holes in sheets and stains on the comforter. eww. The walls in that building are paper-thin and you can hear and even smell everything going on around you. The bathrooms were TINY and had a lot of rusty fixtures and mold on the shower curtain. The condo was bare bones. There was not one roll of paper towels or tissues or kitchen towels. So you would need to buy a lot of items for your stay. I paid over $450 per night for that hellhole as I was there for a work conference. The coup de gras was upon leaving, I had to dodge dog poo in the lobby area on the way out the door. On a more positive note, the kitchen in this condo was renovated; but that was not applicable to my 2 night stay. Also positive was the A/C. It worked very well. I would suggest that you just bring your own bedding if you are driving. The gym/spa is nice at the resort. I spoke to many people staying all over this resort and no one raved about their accommodations and it is was apparent that they are very inconsistent even in the hotels. I read reviews saying as much; but there should be some type of minimum consistency for those prices. Shame on the owners of this place.
