Unfortunately this was our least favourite stop on our 17 day holiday around California. Check in was straight forward and the staff lovely, but our room although deluxe king poolside was dark and dinghy, with stairs directly opposite the window (107) so no view at all. There was no breakfast included, so that was my mistake and I have also ended up with bites all around my ankles and elbows. This could have been from a previous hotel stay as they began on the day of arrival or even from our visit to Balboa Park, I just don't know. I couldn't see anything in the room, but each day seemed to have more. It was also very warm, but so could also have been a heat rash, but it will be interesting to see what develops over our next three hotel stays.

Nice place, would definitely consider staying for more days but would change their parking policy... Why charge for parking when you are staying with them? It's like going to a restaurant and paying more if you want a table. The hotel was already build with space to park, I know it's not just this hotel, but it seems greedy, besides that check in is a bit late, and would add pool towels as they only give you two per room in total. Change those three things and it would definitely be a very good option for family mini vacay for several days.

"Terrible Service – Wouldn’t Allow Kids, No Compassion for Families, Never Staying Here Again"

Extremely Disappointing Experience – Will Never Book Again I booked through Agoda, and their listing clearly stated that kids stay free as long as they use existing bedding. I reserved a room with 2 queen beds, more than enough for my family (kids ages 7, 6, 3, and a newborn). When I arrived to check in on Saturday, Sept 20 at 4 PM, the front desk lady completely ruined our stay. Instead of honoring the booking, she took advantage of my honesty when I told her I had kids. She insisted that I book another room—meaning my wife and I would have to split up into different rooms with our little ones. That made no sense at all. She gave me only two options: either cancel my reservation or pay for another room. With my kids tired and restless, we ended up waiting in our van for over an hour while I scrambled to cancel Agoda and find another hotel last minute. Absolutely no compassion, no understanding, and no regard for families traveling with children. This was one of the most frustrating hotel experiences I’ve ever had. I will never book King’s Inn again and will make sure to tell everyone I know to stay away.
