"Dissatisfied"

The hotel is way too crowded (especially with children) for the amount of effort the workers put in. The staff is large with some good and nice workers who care about your stay but the rest (and most of the staff there) are rude. Them seem to care only about the ‘high rollers’ of their hotel. It is also clear that the place is too big for them to keep clean. You would think for the price of the stay that the amenities would be pristine. For families looking to have a nice vacation without younger kids do not stay here.

"Beautiful Hotel"

We had our company rewards trip this past weekend and everything was perfect. 50 people and not one complaint . The lanai corner suite was fabulous with direct beach access. Housekeeping was impeccable. All staff were polite and helpful. Alex from 10k alley was super friendly and made us feel so welcome. There are plenty of activities to keep everybody busy or if you prefer to totally relax the beach is perfect. We ate at the steakhouse , Quinn’s, the sushi bar and all had great food. I had two treatments at the spa and both were wonderful. We are already talking about returning next year .

"Nice Stay"

Incredible staff! Positive attitude and smiles - ALL of them. Marilyn at Sirene pool was incredible! Beautiful manicured beach. Nice deep wood hotel accents. Room looked just as pictured. Great view of horizon from balcony. 2 nice family pools with waterfall and slide. 10 K alley great for kids and grownups. Food was great but pricey. Buffet with wide selection. Eggs and potatoes were not all that warm. Sirene pool area a bit “sterile” looking for my taste- may have just been the contemporary design but I did not think it looked tropical, needed more landscape. The 2 chairs in our room, one a rolling desk chair the other an accent chair- definitely more looks not comfortable at all for lounging so had to lounge on the bed. View looking down from balcony unpleasant, a roof of a building with either an HVAC or refrigeration motor disturbing the serene atmosphere. We had trouble with our thermostat. They did work on it for us, but even after that, it appeared to go to a preset temperature.

"5 Star Resort-a wonderful treat"

This resort is 5 star! Caters to families. We were 3 generations with three kids ages 10, 8 and 6. The two pools were very fun for the kids and there was a kid’s director that had pool games a couple of times a day. The beach was phenomenal- you could walk for miles. Great shelling and in the morning when the tide is low, little kids can walk a few yards to the sand bar with gentle, small waves. The hotel service was excellent starting with ISABEL at the front desk. Our breakfast server, ELOY, was FANTASTIC- so eager to please with impeccable service. The breakfast buffet seems expensive but they offer everything you could want and they didn’t rush us out so we could linger and enjoy it all, even though it was crowded. The tiki bar was convenient and the bartender Sergio was THE BEST. I’ve had Mai Tais all over the Caribbean and in Hawaii and I would rate Sergio’s number one!! The sunset celebration was really fun and dinner at Quinn’s was delicious. Our room was beautiful with comfy beds, a beautiful bathroom and balcony with two chairs that had a beach view. There is a lot going on here so try to get the sheet of daily activities, we didn’t know about that until the last day. I love that the room keys are elastic bracelets-so convenient. Unlike a lot of hotels, the JW Marriott does not skimp on beach towels. We did tip the beach shack attendants that escorted us to chairs each day. They will come around with a power tool to drill a hole and move your umbrella for you- a nice touch! Highly recommend this resort as a luxury vacation!
