Pet Policy: Pets are allowed. The pet fee is $100 + tax for 1 to 6 nights and an additional $100 + tax deep-cleaning fee for 7 to 30 nights. The weight limit is 50 lbs per dog and two dogs up to 75 lbs combined. Please notify the hotel directly prior to your arrival date if traveling with a pet. Pet-friendly rooms are limited.

I suspect my experience is specific to the 17th floor, where the noise from roof equipment was very high and interfered with my sleep. Lower floors are probably OK. I would recommend to avoid the 17th floor for that reason. While the location by the water is in principle great, limited access roads are very much impacted by rush hour traffic. Other properties may have multiple ways to get to them, but this one, next to Sea World, has few options. Off peak, it is OK. I also found Wifi speeds very low. On the plus side, having a balcony with fresh ocean air was terrific!

I feel so bad that I’m just now getting around to writing this review. We stayed here in July for one night before we had to move downtown to stay with a larger group. My husband and I are both agreed that we wish we could’ve stayed here the whole time. The service was amazing and started before we even arrived. Aaron reached out to ask us the purpose of our stay, and if there was anything they could do to accommodate us. I let him know that we were hoping for a quiet evening before the madness of a weeklong baseball tournament. They upgraded our stay and made us feel so special. The fantastic service continued with Monica at check-in and Hunter our bell man. Room service and the bartender at the restaurant were also phenomenal. I would highly recommend this location for families with children or even couples looking for a quieter stay near the marina. We absolutely loved the grounds and enjoyed the Seaworld fireworks from our beautiful room at night. We are so grateful for all the amazing people that made our stay so special.

We stayed in this Hyatt Hotel for six nights in August 2025. We have stayed here several times in the past so we chose it once again. This hotel is in need of a major renovation. Everything shows wear and age. We have seen this slow decline with every visit and it has reached a point that we feel is now unacceptable. The parking has always been terrible. You are charged a daily parking fee but you may still find nowhere to park. If you do find a spot it is often difficult to get in and out due to the odd layout and lack of space. On our last night, at 1:00am, a section of ceiling fell into our room, scaring the hell out of us. It fell due to it being saturated with water from some leak above us. This required us to pack everything up and move to a different room. We got settled into our new room at nearly 2:00am. Management handled this well and even credited us by removing the daily resort fees for our stay. Although this was handled well, we have decided to stay elsewhere next time we are in San Diego. We want a more upscale experience and this hotel can no longer provide it.

The resort is great for families that will use the pool and amenities daily. They are not upfront about the resort fee of 50$ and daily parking fee of 40$. They also have zero room service which they fail to mention with the only dining option being a restaurant near the property they work with. The prices were 25 and up for every item. That's not very friendly at all especially since you have to get it. Over all not work the price.
