I’m really disappointed by my recent experience at Hyatt Place Page – Lake Powell. I booked a room with two queen beds through Booking.com for the night of 4 November 2025, received a confirmed reservation, and after a 6-hour drive, arrived at the hotel — only to be told our room had been given to someone else. The staff informed us they only had a room with one bed and a sofa bed available. That is not what we booked, nor what was confirmed. We were also told the hotel was full and that our only option was to cancel and “contact Booking.com ourselves” to resolve it. No effort was made to offer a gesture of goodwill, no assistance in finding an alternative, no drink, no meal, no basic hospitality — just a “sorry, nothing we can do”. I have stayed in many hotels, including Hyatt properties, and I have never had a confirmed, booked room simply reassigned to another guest before my arrival. Regardless of what went wrong in their internal system, this should never happen. A reservation should guarantee the room you booked, not leave you stranded at check-in. This is not the level of service expected from Hyatt and absolutely not the standard the brand promises. I hope management takes this seriously, because it was a deeply disappointing experience.

I called 3 times plus put in my reservation top floor corner. I gave enough notice to accommodate, IF the staff wanted to. It fell on deaf shoulders even after I mentioned i was a 100% Disabled Veteran/Retired Navy with severe sleep disorder. They didn't care, but put me in a handicap room which I rejected. Starbucks at bar never open in 3 days, because "staff called out." Then, during World Series game 7 it appeared you had a underage party outside, not monitored event outside with a DJ while the staff supported everyone OUTSIDE of the hotel, since it was evident the DJ was calling all his friends to show up. Paying top dollar for a hotel where the hotel should be top of the heep, it ended up being a joke. Waste of money especially for my first stay in Hyatt. This was supposedly the top hotel in area, I doubt it after my stay. Every morning the furniture and pillows in lobby area were in disarray from the previous night, which was evident. You can only light 2 of 4 heaters outside because....why? Bar tender said out of gas. Why? 3 days they were out of gas? Breakfast. Wow. Horrible. I have had better at Fairfield or IHG! The bacon is disgusting (try it) and the rest is barely palatable. For that kind of money, I would like to see better than your competition. The staff on phone I talked to 3 times before my arrival didnt make any solid effort nor was it even close to being genuine. You have to have maintenance come and turn up the volume on TV during the 2 world series games? Cant the bartender handle that, or does it take another maintenance guy to change the channel? The music in the lobby and common area. Just make it a generic elevator music, most of it is annoying, loud, and distracting. I am very disappointed in not only the money I spent, but overestimating the expectation value I would encounter. Not interested in going back to this hotel, even if it were free!

Great hotel, absolutely no complaints. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the room and hotel were very clean. The breakfast was really welcome, as Page isn't that great for food options. Would definitely stay here again if I find myself in the area.
