"Great hotel, views & customer service!"

I stayed here for a work trip and it was perfect! The hotel staff was friendly and very accommodating. The rooms were stunning and they upgraded me to the 18th floor which had stunning views. The bed was comfy, the showers were hot and luxurious and I genuinely enjoyed my time on the property! Sadly the day I arrived the pool was closed for the bulk of the day for a private event, but the hotel staff was so accommodating. They called me an Uber to visit their sister property, the intercontinental, where I was able to enjoy the pool for the day before my business meetings. They have a really nice gym, rooftop pool, ano outdoor patio area that I was able to enjoy during the rest of my trip at Hotel Indigo. I also had really great food at the restaurant in the lobby. 'll definitely be back here!

"Good Location But Needs an Update"

We chose this hotel to be close to the convention center but not have to spend too much on nightly cost as other chain hotels nearby. We did not use the amenities (I think there is probably a pool and gym) nor did we eat here. It was nice to have a high floor room facing downtown. There is valet parking only at a steep cost of $54 a day. The staff were universally helpful and friendly, and my IHG status was recognized at check in. The hotel is seriously dated now and needs a refurbishment of both the public spaces and rooms. The place looks seriously early 2000's, and imagine what it looks like if nothing has been replaced. The furniture was a little worn and stained, the walls scraped and the laminate flooring peeling. If you are not going to use carpeting in the rooms, the laminate wood floor should not look this bad and make you uncomfortable walking across it in your bare feet. It would be nice to have some sort of rug for your feet when you get out of either side of the bed. The bathroom was large enough but had wonky plumbing like you see in old hotels and not modern buildings. There was plenty of hot water, but trying to get a temperature between scalding and cold in both the sink and shower was difficult. Our shower head was plugged up and barely worked. When it was mentioned to staff, it was fixed within minutes. I did appreciate the staff texting me at times to see how things were going. They did replace our water daily and both the bathroom and bedroom were clean. I do miss the days of bar soaps in lieu of giant pump bottles mounted to the wall. It is always difficult to see what you are actually dispensing. I did not like the quality of the liquid soaps. The bed was soft but comfortable with handy outlets next to it. The lightning could have been a little brighter. Other than LA Live there are few places to eat in the immediate vicinity, but everything downtown is a quick Uber ride away. The walk to the convention center takes 10 minutes for the four blocks. We are used to seeing homeless folks in most major US cities. I did not feel unsafe. Somebody from overseas might not feel as comfortable. The best part was the new Starbucks downstairs that was very nice and convenient in the mornings. From reading reviews, I made sure we were not on the 17th floor since others have noted noise transmission from the club on the 18th floor. The 16th floor seemed OK. At times given the condition of the hotel, I wished I had stayed at the more expensive JW Marriott across the street. This issue could be solved with a refurbishment by IHG.

"Buyer beware"

This hotel charges a $35 DAILY amenity fee for things you won’t even use—like gym usage, and some credit that they don’t mention while checking in. Worst part? They include hiking and biking as part of the fee—activities that are FREE and available to the public! This is outrageous. When I asked for a refund, they refused and couldn’t provide an explanation for the hiking and biking fees. Definitely wouldn’t stay here again.
