Holiday Inn Resort Orlando Suites - Waterpark, an IHG Hotel

Arrived to find lobby not open you check in and register at the marketplace where the food court/arcade is. Under renovation but wasn’t made aware at anytime during the reservation process. Our room was hot upon arrival and flooring was peeling away and popping as you walked across it, mold mildew in the bathroom and rust on air vents. Only 1 of 4 options open to eat at food court. Staff leaning on my family members car smoking marijuana and had to be asked to move when I tried to retrieve something from vehicle. Charged for parking and in the middle of the night multiple dirt bikes invaded parking/resort area. Also upon checkout we find signs welcoming public to enjoy waterpark that were charged for. Very disappointing for IHG!

This was probably the worst location I have ever stayed in. To start we were told at check in we would be close as they could put us near my son and 4 grandkids to help out. But when we actually got out room it could not have been further. We were not told to grab a luggage cart from the desk and would than have to walk it to the building nor were we told that that many elevators were not working so we had to walk from the car w luggage and try to find an elevator to get to the forth 4. Well while walking around like a rat in a maze we had asked 2 employees how to get to the room and neither spoke English. I was able to get from the woman that I needed to go to building 11 to get to building 9. (Go figure) Well we finally got to our room and the over wheeling smell of mold and floor glue hit you in the face. The room had been flooded. Not fixed and rented out. I called the front desk. Spoke to Brandon who told me I would get a call from the manager. That didn’t happen. We went down to find somewhere to eat but only a bar and a pizza place in the hotel was open. We were told because it’s so slow!!!!! After we ate we went to the front desk and asked Brandon where was the call from the manager? He than said oh ya. And he got Melvin. I explained to Melvin all the problems and we were moved. We had to go on the long hike again to get our luggage from building 9 and be moved to building 6. Melvin said let me check the room first before you go up. Why would that be needed? But they checked the room. We opened the did and the over powering smell of fabulous was enough to choke you. We had to leave the door open. For about an hour. Now it’s 11 pm and we receive a phone call asking us where we parked we said near building 6 because we did move the car when we moved the room. We were informed that no one should be parked near 9 because No one is checked in that building? Many building were empty and closed do to problems with the rooms. That came out of Brandon’s mouth. We checked out after the first night. Still received a call at the other hotel and asked if I was still check in ? They have water slides but we had 4 kids. Were told some of the kids were to small and would have to use the smaller slide but that was closed and being painted? They charge 30 to park your car and 65-70 dollar resort fee This is not a resort it is a dump Haha we were given arcade credit but after spending an hour at the arcade that we had bought cards for we really had enough. It was late and kids were tired we had no use for the cards. We still have and could send back if they want. We did not use the next day because we checked out and had to stay somewhere else because this location is a DUMP PICTURES ARE OF THE FLOOR IN THE ROOM THST WAS FLIODED AND RENTED. I WISH YOU COULD SMELL THE PICTURES!

Avoid this hotel at all costs! The only redeeming feature is the waterpark, pool, and water slides. Outside of that, the hotel is a disaster. The layout is like a maze, with two separate front desks—one called the Marketplace, which is far from the usual drop-off point, making it nearly impossible to find your way around. After 9 pm, good luck getting help, as there’s no staff at the check-in desk. I had the misfortune of accidentally leaving my key card in the room and was left outside for over two hours, waiting for someone to assist. Despite multiple calls to reservations, no one came to help. The rooms themselves are dirty and poorly equipped. I booked a two-bedroom suite, and neither room was enjoyable. The so-called "kitchenette" is completely useless, as it has no utensils. With the front desk so far away, staying here also feels unsafe. This place is confusing, frustrating, and guaranteed to ruin your mood.

Rooms and property smells like weed, breakfast is expensive and gross, the property charges you an extra $100 per night for parking and resort fees. The bedroom and bathroom have pocket doors that do not lock or completely shut allowing light and noise to cone through. You can hear your neighbors right through the walls. There are many other options in Orlando. I wish I would have chose them.
