"Very Disappointing"
TripAdvisor user rating 1 out of 5
Reviewed November 06, 2025 NEW
Good location yet - i would give this zero stars if I could for the following reasons: Signage to check in awful due to Lobby/Registration check in under construction. One sign says go North then you go North and it says go South. Once in Lobby it was temp podium with BOZO's at front desk. Did not recognize my Diamond status and were not knowledgeable or friendly at all!!! Ice machines broken, constructions surrounding entire complex. Long walk to lazy river or any cafe/restaurant on premises (all temporary-short hours-no evening food), Room very old, bathroom door broken, and sofa bed felt like sleeping on wire rack. Resort fee a joke, no tennis courts or fitness room. WAY too much construction. Very disappointed in this Hilton property to include staff.

"Stay away until renovation is completed..."
TripAdvisor user rating 2 out of 5
Reviewed October 20, 2025 NEW
We rented 3 adjoining suites for a family "staycation". First the bad...The property is undergoing a long overdue renovation with the main building completely closed. Our suites were in a second building that has yet to be renovated. All three rooms either smelled smoky or musty. We changed one of the rooms because it was so bad. The carpeting in all the suites were old and stained everywhere. The furniture was old and stained as well. None of the mini-fridges worked very well even if they could be adjusted. The privacy doors between living area and bath/bedroom in one suites would not close. The towels provided were old ,tattered, and about as soft as sandpaper. Lastly and not surprising considering the construction and desert location, we had a small scorpion on the wall over our couch. Nothing a flip flop could not take care of but still a little unnerving with small children in the rooms. Now for okay to good...The beds were newer ,clean and comfortable. The front desk staff (Grace) was nice and accommodating. Claudia in guest services was able to have a microwave delivered to our room as there were none. The lazy river was good except there were not enough of the larger tubes available. The putt putt golf course was a bit worn but okay for the kids. The waterslide was only open intermittently throughout our stay for unknown reasons. This Pointe location was at one time one of nicest places to stay in Phoenix. For the approximately 3K we spent for three nights in these run down, poorly equipped small suites, to say we were extremely disappointed would be a huge understatement.

"I didn’t Hilton prices to get Trapped in the elevator"
TripAdvisor user rating 1 out of 5
Reviewed October 13, 2025
Terrifying elevator entrapment, no inspection certificate, unprofessional staff response I got trapped in the elevator with my dog for nearly 25 minutes. Staff couldn’t find the he key to the elevator. That’s a massive safety failure. When I asked when the elevator was last inspected, the engineer raised his voice at me and said it was an “old elevator” and the hotel was being remodeled. The supervisor on duty shrugged it off and said, “technology fails.” And that she “was trapped in the elevators before.” How the hell is what supposed to make me feel safe? This wasn’t a coffee maker malfunction, this was an elevator. With me inside it. No one could produce the elevator’s inspection certificate, even by the time we checked out of the hotel. I was told only the general manager had it, and no one could say when it was last inspected. That is unacceptable. We paid Hilton prices to stay at what we thought was a family-friendly resort. Instead, we were treated with indifference, no emergency protocol, and no accountability. I do not feel safe bringing my children back here. Hilton needs to do better, this was traumatizing and could have ended a lot worse.

"Just Terrible, Stay Away!"
TripAdvisor user rating 1 out of 5
Reviewed October 10, 2025
This place is absolutely terrible. Stay away! I stayed for a convention downtown from 10/6 thru 10/9. This place is not only very outdated but had NO HOT WATER for the entire time I was there. I complained each day and was told someone was going to get on it ASAP, but no one ever did. Several other visitors were complaining about the water as well. The workers just rolled there eyed and basically just ignored us. This place was almost $400 a night and no hot water, really? The grounds are like a battlefield. Everything is under renovation inside and out. You are better off at a Motel 6, or a tent for that matter.
