"Paid for Ocean View, Offered Partial Ocean View, No Refund"

I booked and paid for an Ocean View room at Hilton Marco Island through Delta Cars & Stays at a premium price. Before arrival, I was informed that only a Partial Ocean View room would be available. This was a downgrade from the room category I purchased. Because the hotel could not provide the room type sold, I chose not to check in or stay. Despite this, the hotel refused to authorize a refund and relied on a “non-refundable” policy, even though the contracted room type was not delivered. American Express later confirmed that the charge was upheld solely because the hotel declined to approve the refund. This was not a cancellation — it was a failure to provide what was advertised and paid for. Based on my experience, travelers should be cautious when booking higher-tier room categories here and ensure everything is documented in writing.

"Great beach front hotel."

Overall, excellent in all major categories. Excellent location, beach, above average amenities and facilities. Friendly and responsive staff. Check in staff addressed inadequate room location immediately with new location. Room and bath are four star rated, clean and more than adequate, bath with dual sinks and oversized shower, wasted access space could have enlarged bathroom to more appropriately shared use bath. Balcony with great view. On site restaurant was very good and generally above average menus selections. Further menus options would be desirable. Pool is great, pool service was spotty. Background music pleasant until Saturday DJ rap, which clearly didn’t seem appropriate for the vast majority of clientele. Beach lounge chairs provided, but need replacing/repair or upgrading. Would readily recommend Hilton Marco Beach Resort & Spa.

"Staff creates the experience"

The staff sets the experience. They are attentive and friendly. Luka was wonderful with our group. He is an excellent bartender. Eddie at the concierge was wonderful too. The resort was really family friendly. The rooms are spacious and very clean. The restaurant is lovely and the food is impeccable. The only thing I would change is the pos system. It seems clunky and adds too much time for the servers. The steps could be simpler and could be more time efficient for the staff. The staff still manages the system well but it could be much quicker for them so they don’t have to micro manage their time.

"Christmas Getaway to Marco Island"

This was our second time staying at the Hilton Marco Island and we’re already wanting to come back! We had another excellent stay. A few team members who made our stay top notch: Eddie, the bellman was so helpful with loading/unloading our luggage and offering us tips about the island. Steve offered phenomenal service at the pool and had our drinks to us in record time. Cheryl at the bar, did such a good job towards the end of the trip, she knew my drink order without me having to say anything. Finally, the housekeeping staff, did a fantastic job cleaning our room each day. My only quibble about our stay was the constant Christmas music at the pool. I get it that it’s the holidays, but it was the same songs over and over again. It was still going on even after Christmas. Can you sprinkle in some non-Christmas music once in a while? All in all it was another fantastic trip to the Hilton Marco Island and we can’t wait to book again.
