"Actually very poor for the price"

It’s a very basic hotel. The rooms were not cleaned during our stay (we had 3 nights/4 days) which is actually significantly sub-standard for any hotel let alone one which charges such a high price. Something which is an issue is that as seasoned travellers, this isn’t something we’d encountered and we also want to maximise our visit to the location, as such it isn’t as practical as it might seem to raise the query or make a complaint- something I don’t think I should be having to spend my vacation/holiday doing. Nothing is replenished such as in-room coffee, towels, or toiletries. The reception and housekeeping staff are mostly polite when they engage with you (although I don’t know what the housekeeping staff are doing since it isn’t cleaning and maintaining the rooms). The waiting staff in the restaurant had a manner which was a little strange, and I felt like we weren’t completely welcome- perhaps they took an issue with us having non-American accents? This happened from when we first arrived and continued throughout our stay. A significant disappointment was that we were mislead initially regarding our included breakfast which we had paid for, and missed a day of this due to the miscommunication. No offer to compensate us was forthcoming, but when challenged they acknowledged that this was included. It’s not good enough for a hotel to be dishonest or incompetent in this manner. The breakfast we did get was satisfactory, but could have been better quality for the price the hotel charges for a stay. I was disappointed with this hotel, especially given the Hilton branding which I took as a quality assurance. My stay was lovely because Seattle is a fantastic city. I hope to be back to Seattle, but I wouldn’t stay at this hotel again.

"Hotel is fine - restaurant is awful"

The stay is fine. The room, pool, hot tub, were all satisfactory. Location is very convenient if you don’t mind doing a little walking and sight seeing. AVOID THE RESTAURANT at all costs. It’s extremely overpriced and the service is terrible. I stayed for 7 days and kept giving them the benefit of the doubt and trying again. You can sit for 20 minutes without anyone even acknowledging you exist. One of the bartenders is downright rude, angry, and unhelpful. There’s a boar’s head cafe next door that serves a better breakfast sandwich, way cheaper, and with good service.

Hilton Garden Inn properties, while limited service, are usually nice properties. Not here. The Hilton Garden Inn Settle Downtown wouldn't even rank well as a Hampton Inn. It's an older property and it shows: There was a mechanical closet directly across from our room that emitted a loud grinding noise all night. We got in after midnight and really didn't want to deal with going to the desk. But, let's be honest, they know about the grinding noise but they put us in this room any way. The towel rack, bizarrely, is located *inside* the shower stall. That's right. If you take a shower without removing all the towels from the rack, you'll have wet towels to dry off with. The "do not disturb" sign broke when I hunt it on the door. How? I dunno. There were a half-dozen bags of discarded carryoutfood in the lobby when we arrived. They were still there when we left. The halls, carpeting, curtains, and furniture are dark, dated. The bed was comfortable, so that's good, and the F&B credit for Hilton Honors members ($20/day) is generous.

"Probably could do with an update but comfortable enough and handy for downtown Seattle."

Just stayed for one night for meetings in the area, before I flew home to UK. Nice enough hotel, could perhaps do with a bit of modernising in the rooms, but nothing much wrong with them spacious, comfortable and clean. Can't comment on food, staff were helpful and its OK for big city value.
