This was probably my 5th (and final) stay at this hotel because of proximity to my work in the area. It's always been ok. Customer service has never been a strength. Digitally checked in and used my phone as the key. Got into the hotel room around 9:00 pm and knew something wasn't right because of the sewer odor in the room. Could clearly see the backup in the shower. Called down to the front, they will send up maintenance and requested another room - completely full no other room available. What about another Hilton in the area - any availability? We won't check. The maintenance guy tried unsuccessfully to snake the drain. He recommended we move rooms and when he shared that, he recommended moving hotels - which was already in the works. Not one apology, not one follow-up email or call. Complete customer disregard.

1. Location is great. Walkable to superb food places, shopping and the fun old time vibe. Quite close to the other touristy places 2. The front desk is super helpful and considerate 3. If you want to choose public transport , then its just a few steps away 4. Our room was clean and comfortable.

There are too many other hotels in the area with better service. The only reason I’m giving 2 stars is due to location. At check in I asked for a quiet area away from the elevator and small children. I was placed next to the elevator and surrounded by not only children but the maintenance staff. In addition to that my room had some type of exhaust on that shook the entire floor night and day. I’ve stayed in 100s of hotels and never have I’ve experienced such constant noise both day and night, it was awful and exhausting. For a Hilton I’m really surprised by the standard.
