"Average airport hotel"

Good shuttle service - fast check in and nice room. The main issue was noise from the road which was so bad could hardly sleep - awake from 2am onwards. Would not stay here again solely for this reason.

I had a recent disappointing experience at this Hilton hotel. When we arrived the front desk gave us a key to a room that was already occupied. When we confronted the front desk about it, they gave no apology and sent us to a different room. After almost a full month, we were notified of a billing error and were charged 100 dollars the day before Christmas. We will never stay at this hotel again.

Interested in attending the Hollywood Bowl? There are some motels within walking distance of the Bowl park but none are as accommodating as the Hilton Garden Inn on Highland. Why so comforting? Except for the very penurious dispensing of coffee in the room by Kuerig (bring your own cream), the courteous staff, shaded pool and excellent hot-tub, comfortable beds, on-site exercise room, and eatery can make your stay an invigorating experience. If you bring a car, it is pricey --like all hotels-- to stow-it. The hot water comes quickly from the faucet and showers ample for two or fewer! There is a limited range of items for purchase to charge to the room; mostly pre-packaged food with high salt and sugar contents. So bring your own fruit becaus ethere is small refrigerator in the room beside the microwave. Yes, big-creen TV for the kids and old folks to entertain --but not as exciting as checking out the garrish store displays along the star-encrusted Hollywood Boulevard shops and restuarants. Up the hill is the Hollywood Bowl a ten to fifteen minute walk and you do not have to cross the busy Highland Ave thoroughfare to access the place for music under the stars. Evening fog may encourage your to bring a sweaterm, hoodie, or jacket, but the music is sheer delight.

"Good Stay"

We chose the Hilton Garden Inn Los Angeles/Hollywood because of its proximity to the cemetery and services for a funeral we attended. My husband has cat allergies, and the front desk was able to accommodate our request for a pet-free room. (Although we were surprised that there was a dog barking in the room next to ours.) Very comfortable bed and pillows, a small microwave and refrigerator in the room, and clean vinyl flooring (no carpet, which is appreciated). We were in a room that faced Highland, and heard noise early in the morning. You may want to request a room in the back if you need quiet. Room rate was reasonable. Valet parking (with in and out privileges) was $55 per day. All of the staff working in the parking lot were friendly and got our car quickly. Kudos to Juan at the front desk. He went out of his way to find some Lysol spray and napkins so that I could clean my shoe after I stepped in vomit down the street from the hotel. (I don't know if this is a reflection on the neighborhood.)
