"Clean Room, but a Couple of of Concerns"

I was in town for a family reunion. I noticed the latch on the door did not lock properly. A service person attempted to fix it, but no success. He suggested changing rooms. The only room that was available at the time was a handicapped room, where the bed was too low (for my arthritis) and the latch on the door did not lock properly either. To my disappointment, I ended up going back to the first room, since the hotel was totally booked for that day. Also, the shower door was difficult to slide open, and the handle facing the walk-in shower was a little loose. If pull hard on the handle, I was concerned it would break off. I had to pull it very gently. I do not drive nor have a car where I can just go and find another nearby hotel. I regret not staying at the Hampton Inn minutes away (my original choice). They did apologize though and gave me points for my inconvenience, but I will think twice before staying there again until that matter is properly fixed - safety first, all day, every day! Future guests - please check in early for the best hotel room selection.

I checked in on Wednesday and it is not Saturday and they still have not cleaned my room. I was here for work, so I would not be in room during the day. When I would get back after work, they would say that housecleaning is gone. So sorry. Plus do not like sharing my room with bugs!

Booked last minute here due to weather related flight issues at DFW. Thought I was booking another hotel but no issue as that was me just being careless. There really isn't much around this hotel that I could see. It was nice and clean and quiet. 2 issues with this hotel though and 1 with Hilton in general that seems to be cropping up more and more. The hotel issues are that the shuttle doesn't start running until 6a. I'll guess that's a decision based on ridership demand but our flight was before 6 and DFW has a lot of flights before 7-7:30a that the airport shuttle won't help with. The second is that the ac, even though only put on 67, didn't cool the room sufficiently until about the time we had to get up. My increasing issue with Hilton in general is that everywhere the pillows are all mush. There are no firm pillows anywhere. So, it's safe and clean and quiet and a good stay but didn't meet my needs or expectations.

Staff were extremely courteous and hotel was very clean! Cafe staff excellent as well as housekeeping. Very close to the mall . The storage in the room was great. Plenty of space for the business traveler I would definitely stay here again. Thank you!

The hotel itself is average. the rooms are nothing special. the food, however was terrific. I have never seen a menu like this in an HGI. they have gotten some kind of waiver because they are in Grapevine and the menu was interesting and the food was great. Nick, at the bar, was a gem. Will definitely return.
