The Bad: This has been the worse experience I’ve ever had with any hotel chain! This was supposed to be a relaxing beach vacation as we celebrated our 26th wedding anniversary! Instead, we had neighbors from hell who partied from 7 pm til the wee hours in the morning! It was an unbelievable experience where you heard loud talking adults entering and exiting, screaming kids, very loud Hispanic music with bass, smoky smells and the sounds of glass bottles being dropped at times. No one would believe that this was a Hilton hotel if I didn’t capture the sounds to prove it. We felt like we were in a club!!! Reporting this to the staff was a waste of time and you kinda felt like they knew about it but were too afraid to intervene. They offered to send security up to clear the hallway but said nothing could be done with them in the room. The wild part of this nightmare was that all the noise was inside the room and on the patio. The joke was definitely on us. The balcony with a beautiful ocean view was rendered useless because the party was out there too! The “shared” non-privacy balcony is useless in situations like this. Spending over $700 for this 2-night stay is ridiculous for the service you get. And also when my husband left the room to calm down, the elevator was out…icing on the cake. We checked out an hour earlier although we requested a late checkout because they were gearing up again! Seriously, this place is not for the weak at heart and unless you are all about the party scene, you might want to consider someplace else. Edit: Although we endured this atrocity for 2 nights, we were refunded 1 night of resort fees. The Good: This hotel holds your luggage until the room is ready and we were checked in an hour earlier than expected. The location was excellent for catching the free trolley to South Beach and it always ran on time. We did not get to use the beach or pools but the views are spectacular from the hotel. The staff is friendly and although the room was a little dated, it was clean. In Summary: The excessive noise was a dealbreaker for us, and because the staffs hands are tied we will NEVER stay at this Hilton hotel again. We work too hard for our $$$ not to enjoy our vacation and feel like we were left to our own defenses.
